It is such a pain to get everything to connect, once it’s sorted it’s great, untill a June update, no connection, phone app can’t even find the thermostat, absolute nightmare

OK, so to have to turn off 5ghz WiFi, turn off cell service on phone, say a magic chant, stand on head and juggle with your eyes closed seems a bit extreme, but once the app and thermostat were all connected it works really well! But seriously, the WiFi and cell service did need turning off, but once everything was connected the app itself if really quite good, and I’ve used Hive for years before that. Integration with Alexa also works really well, and even turning off or rebooting the WiFi (and, yes, you can turn on 5ghz once everything is connected the first time), causes no subsequent problems when everything has restarted. Pleasantly surprised!

Shockingly poor, basic and broken
I'm not sure why ESI bothered to add WiFi to their products if this is the best that they can do for an app.
Bare bones, barely works and sometimes not at all, can't even rename devices so it's impossible to tell what you are controlling.
Who signed this off, who at ESI is happy with this??

Reasonably poor
If the setup needs permissions (I’ve just provided it with the information it says it needs access to manually, but it refuses to use it) then why not either ask for it at the outset, or lead the user to the setting required. Much more difficult to use than it needs to be.
