I ve been selling on Etsy for quite a while.
I sell my things I make to people who had no idea that there was a blacksmith in central Texas who was making exactly what they were looking for.

I’ve had an Etsy seller account opened for 4 years. Never had much time to put much effort into selling items. Had some rare swimsuits listed on there for a couple years never sold anything. I then had more time available. Put 110% efforts into selling. Sold over $800
worth. No problem receiving funds. No complaints from customers. Then all of a sudden Etsy puts a 30% reserve on my account and holds my money until confirmation of shipping has arrived to buyer. I don’t have a lot of money to front until they decide to give me my money. Called and questioned it. Oh you’re having some traffic and selling items so we hold your money and have up
to 45 days to release your money. Needless to say the more and more information I receive on how Etsy operates, is very disappointing. Really not sure what to think about this after creating over 500
listings. There must be a better option than them controlling your money and traffic to your shop. SMH.
