Like but don’t trust
I’ve been successful selling on Etsy. Things work well most of the time. But when they don’t work well Etsy is inflexible and insensitive towards the sellers. In a way that is hard to forget and forgive.
Very disappointed with Etsy’s decision
I have been an Etsy seller for 4 years and have never had a problem like this until now. A buyer received her order and later made false claims in order to receive a refund. I provided Etsy with evidence showing that her statements were not truthful, including proof that contradicted her claim. Unfortunately, despite the evidence I submitted, Etsy still issued the refund.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how this case was handled. As a small business owner, I work hard to provide quality products and excellent customer service, and it is very upsetting to see a buyer make false claims and still be refunded after I provided evidence to support my side.
After 4 years of selling on Etsy without issues, this experience has seriously affected my trust in Etsy’s seller protection and the way disputes are reviewed.
