Fantastic - Custom agent everywhere you go
The apps see frequent updates to support users. I think more interestingly, the custom agent aspect is why I still own these glasses. In about two hours you can set up a complete custom agent with an anthropic api (or whatever you choose). You now have a custom agent in your glasses that you can speak to.

Just need a little work on some of the apps, not having the option to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
A hoop but needs a slam dunk
I’ve been using both the Even glasses and the R1 Ring, and honestly, they’re amazing devices when paired together. Huge credit to the Even team..
One feature I’d really love to see is the ability to manually refresh health vitals from the R1 Ring in real time, rather than waiting for the scheduled update.
I understand that the ring’s primary purpose is navigation and interaction with the glasses, while health tracking is currently more of a secondary function. However, I believe expanding this side of the R1 could give users an additional reason to wear the ring throughout the entire day even when they are not actively using the glasses.
I would love to see the ability to manually refresh available health vitals in real time instead of only waiting for scheduled updates. More importantly, the ring could go beyond simply collecting data and showing a health score. With AI, it could help users understand what that score actually means and what actions they can take to improve it.
For example, if my health score drops from my normal baseline, the app could tell me how much additional sleep or recovery I may need, what activity target I should aim for, whether my sleep window needs adjusting, and approximately how long it could take to return to my normal range.
It would also be useful to have a timeline or chart highlighting the exact dates when significant variations were detected. AI could then analyze those patterns over days, weeks and months and help users understand what may be influencing their scores.
This is where I think the R1 Ring could become much more beneficial: rather than being mainly a controller for the glasses that also collects health information, it could become a personalized daily wellness companion within the Even ecosystem.
The ring collects the data, AI helps interpret it, and the glasses become a natural way of accessing those insights. Eventually, you could simply ask through the glasses, How am I doing today? and receive a quick summary based on your R1 data, including what has changed and what you can do today to improve your overall score.
That would make the R1 valuable both with and without the glasses, increase the reason to wear it 24/7, and make the overall Even ecosystem much more powerful and useful in everyday life.

Was kinda solid but…
Was solid but the most recent update killed my translation both in the stand alone and conversate modes so now its useless and I’m abroad. Very disappointed in this almost $1000 device and app

Easy to use app and a great product!
Great hardware mired with vibe coded software…
Glasses and ring have incredible battery life and seem to work really well. This app seems to be the real issue however, constant disconnects, forgetting saved settings, unreliable notification forwarding, poor sdk documentation, all make this expensive tool with so much potential seem seem like a Highschool hackathon project. Please work on refining the iOS application.

Avoid at all costs
Clunky UX. They are selling a half baked product for a fully baked price. By the time you realize it, the return policy is over; 14 days! Beware.
App is stuck on firmware update and won’t install
I love these glasses and I love everything about them but the app has certain problems like firmware update. It shows you it needs it. It will download it, but it won’t install. I’ve cleared my cachet Eyes unpaired and repaired the ring and glasses and I still can’t update my firmware. I love them. That’s the only problem I have.

Just purchased
So far so good. Teleprompter feature is where the glasses shine. I will update review as I use it more. I do wish that I had access to a kindle reader to access my subscription for books I like to read. There are a few free books in an app / widget. However it’s not exactly books I prefer. I hope there are more updates and widgets that access things like kindle reader. Overall. I do like the glasses. I plan on using it during lectures and speeches. I can definitely see that it will help a lot. On a side note, the glasses look good and don’t look bulky and more like regular glasses.

G2 software is unusable. Initially the software was just glitchy. After several months of trial the glasses do not connect to app. The ring is a good idea, but difficult to use in practice. It is touchy, and inevitably you end up on an unwanted screen. A third of the display on the glasses is constantly displaying date and time, which is useless. App tries to update, but fails and has to be closed. I have given up and just use them as a spare set of glasses. Company produces great videos selling the product, but almost none teaching how to customize displays and actually use the product. This is very bad product with very good marketing selling a promising idea.

Cannot stay connected
My g2 glasses and r1 ring will not stay connected to the app, having me need to restart and put the glasses back into the case almost every time I go to use them. I love the glasses and app, and I’ll happily change my review once this is fixed, but right now my glasses are basically just regular prescriptions

Great Glasses but the app needs a bit of work
I’ve been looking for smart glasses for a long time, but I never liked the idea of wearing glasses with a camera. A couple of friends have camera-equipped smart glasses, and it’s surprising how uncomfortable people become when they realise they could be being recorded. The Even Realities glasses appealed to me because they avoid that issue while still providing genuinely useful smart features.
After taking the plunge, I’ve been really impressed with the glasses themselves. I use them most days for work meetings, where they discreetly provide helpful information without being distracting. The live translation feature has also been fantastic and will be especially useful when visiting my wife’s family in Spain, as it feels like having real-time subtitles in front of you.
Unfortunately, the app lets the overall experience down. I’ve noticed that simply leaving the app running in the background causes a significant drain on my iPhone’s battery. This happens even on days when I haven’t used the glasses at all, or when they’re not even with me and therefore can’t be connected. Normally my phone easily lasts the entire day without charging, but with the app running in the background I’ve sometimes had to recharge it two or even three times.
After quite a bit of testing, I’ve narrowed the issue down to the Even Realities app. If I force-close it completely, my phone’s battery life returns to almost normal. Interestingly, iOS doesn’t report the app as a major battery user, but the difference in overall battery life is obvious.
To be clear, this isn’t a problem with the glasses or the ring themselves—their battery life is excellent. My only criticism is the impact the app has on my phone’s battery. If the background battery usage can be optimised, I’d happily increase this review to five stars because the hardware is genuinely excellent.

Worked for a week
Ridiculously buggy; I’ve had issue connecting to G2 & R1 daily, and the device rarely syncs with the app properly without repeated restart. I do appreciate the variety of features, but it’s of little use to me if the DEVICE WONT CONNECT

This high-quality glass has a promising future, however, it lacks the variety of languages that other glasses offer. Unfortunately, the limited language options, particularly the absence of Persian فارسی, may be deterring potential customers from making a purchase.
