Helpful tool for hotel properties
The app and agents are very helpful. Easy to use and get bookings!
Works great but…
App itself works well but message filters and gatekeeping makes communicating with guests nearly impossible.
Lack of guest info
With booking.com we can communicate with our guests via their message app or text to the guest mobile number which is provided so we can send pre arrival information and enquire about guest arrival time.
Clunky and not best
The app is useful when out and about but can only do some things on it.
When you get notifications of bookings etc, when you click on done it does not clear the notification. You have to delete the app and reinstall. This has been reported 6 months ago but has not been resolved

I have called Expedia support and the team at Expedia take my details to look into the problems in the booking we faceing and they have mentioned they will call me back to sort the problem out but they never called back also when I called again I’m always on hold and the support team seem to not have an understanding of what’s happening and they always say this is not my department I’ll ask the other department and I’ll get back to you which they never do

Okay
The app is fine for basic tools for the host however there is massive opportunity to improve the user experience. Expedia should take Airbnb app as a model.
Removing guest contacts and bad credit cards
The most frustrating experience when guests that have cards that don’t carry over to the reservation system if the card is declined and then Expedia removes the phone numbers the you can’t even contact them other then the app messaging . I really wish this was fixed because now the room is sitting there the guest doesn’t show up and I’m trying to make up the sales w last minute bookings it doesn’t always book . Expedia should reimburse partners that they put into these negative situations taking their partners revenue

Poor app
I use several apps to manage my apartments, and this one is by far the biggest headache. Sending messages isn’t easy, I can’t view my guests’ phone numbers, it constantly logs me out, and even when I enter my password correctly, it says it’s incorrect. Honestly, I hate using this app.

Can’t help small independent hotels at all. Customer service is the actual worst thing I have ever seen. DO NOT FALL INTO THE 18%

Frequent log outs
Logs out frequently for no good reason. Clicking on notifications leads to app which is stuck in startup splash page. Have to force close the app and then restart. By this time the notification is gone so you’ve no idea how to get back to what the real notification was about. Nonpasskey feature yet.
