Rubbish

Recently applied for a job and they sent me a link asking me to download this app and scan my passport. Lost hours yesterday trying to scan the passport. It would scan to 95 percent and crash. Sometimes it would just scan and remain on zero.
I reset the phone, turned it on and off countless times. Scanned every page and the front where the chip is. Nothing works. The phone is new and working fine. I downloaded another government app which required scanning my passport and that app worked fine. This has to be a software issue.
I tried to contact them via their site and they only accept business emails in the contact form. It would not accept my yahoo email. Also tried contacting them via the Rightcheck app but the messenger service froze and would not work. How on earth has this company won awards? This company has wasted my time and I’m trying to figure out another way to resolve this with the employer. Very very disappointing.

Biometric doesn’t work

I have spent multiple hours trying to get the biometric working. Tried it on every page of the passport. Tried closing the app, restarting the phone - nothing works.

This was not a phone or a passport issue. I downloaded an NFC reader app and it was able to read my passport instantly. I have just used the UK GOV ID app and its passport biometric reader was able to pick up my passport instantly. There is an issue or a glitch with the biometric reader on the app.

As I’ve tried it probably 100+ times, I can see the common patterns. On initial use (or use after reopening the app) it gets stuck on 9%. All subsequent attempts don’t show a percent, except for a few occasions where it gets stuck on 0%. It definitely picks up the chip, as a different message shows on the screen when the phone isn’t over the chip.

Please fix, it is really annoying and has wasted a lot of time.

Stressful process

So I must have tried for almost and hour, but it could only scan up to 95% of biometric data, in the end I had to skip the process. Not at all effective

Terrible process

Despite trying on several devices the passport would never be recognised and the photo does not take what is in the box. Frustrating
