Not good

I’m a teacher and parent, and our school recently switched over from Brightwheel. I’ve also used Procare before that. This app has the worst UI of them all! I hate how everything is buried under a drop down menu. We should be able to add multiple children to multiple classrooms. This app is NOT user-friendly at all! The last thing I want to be doing when I’m supposed to be focusing on my class is clicking through 5 different pathways to get to attendance or something! The messaging system is awful too. I really dislike this app. The only nice thing is I can easily switch between my employee and parent accounts, and the documents section is straightforward. Please make this app easier for teachers to use!!!

Bulk download not possible

The app is alright but it fails to allow users to download photos in bulk with their time stamp. You can tag your kid over time and then you will have to find the day and download photos one by one which is annoying

My nursery have moved to this app and it’s not th e best
Why would I want to see group observations? I don’t care about other peoples children (also not keen on other people having photos of my child
On their phone) nor do I want to see photos of the back of my child’s head.
I miss parentzone

Glitching

The app keeps glitching for example it only gives me a child pick up time of 15:00, it won’t let me change the collection password although I’m the primary contact. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded the app in the hope it’ll fix the glitches but it now says there is a connection issue with the login so I can’t even get back on the app!

Fly on the wall experience for parents at my nursery

Famly is honestly a fantastic all rounder! All 50+ of our families love the fly on the wall experience in a daily basis, some have said they feel as though they’re still with their child with the way we use it.
It’s amazing and it’s in my top fave features of the nursery. Famly for the win!!

Not user friendly

I would need to scroll all the way to bottom as I have to download old pics of my kid. No gallery option where we can see all pictures and videos in one place than scrolling down . It’s really frustrating. Even the scrolling down has bug, suddenly scrolls back up again.

Beste Kita-App!

Wir haben den Famly Rollout in allen Kitas des Trägers fast abgeschlossen und sowohl Eltern als auch die Teams geben sehr positives Feedback! Auch für den Träger ist es für einige Prozesse und Entscheidungen absolut hilfreich. Vor allem die regelmäßigen Updates und Verbesserungen sind top! Dazu ein zuverlässiger Service, coole Leute und der spürbare Anspruch der App, den stressigen Kita-Alltag mit allem Drum und Dran zu entlasten und nutzerfreundlich zu sein!

Could be improved

Most of the functionality is good, but notifications can be buggy. I don't like how parents can't use 2FA unless the nursery have chosen this setting - my security should be my decision. I also don't like that nursery staff can see whether I've read their messages but I can't see whether they've read mine.

Worst user experience - Need to log in with use and pass every 5 mins!

Clearly the design team does not care about user experience. Each time you are asked to key in password and email. Even the PIN feature does not work and each time you end up with keying in email id and password to login. On raising this issue I was informed this is a security feature … lols …. Even mobile bank apps allow you to log in face authentication or biometrics for seamless user login. One to consider and roll out Famly! I have heard so many parents asking for this basic use experience. Hope someone accountable is reading and listening to use feedback.

Sometimes you’ll be asked to re-enter your email and password when you access the login screen via your invite link. If you haven’t already, try logging in through app.famly.co to see if that helps. I appreciate you taking the time to share this so clearly. I’ll make sure your feedback is passed directly to our product team, as input like this genuinely helps shape future improvements.

Ticks all of the boxes except one.

Fab app, ticks all the boxes I need apart from one. It is extremely expensive compared to others on the market that offer similar. I have only decided to stay as I prefer the layout but I grudge every penny .

Better apps are available but you may get stuck with it because of the nursery

Our nursery switched to this app and it’s rubbish. Wants to force you to add a payment card even if it doesn’t apply to you. Why isn’t there an option to say no. Useless.

18/12/26 Update.
The developers are correct. My issue was related to how it was set up by the nursery and so I’ve adjusted from one star to three as it took a lot of investigation to find this out, which shouldn’t have been the case. Other than this, it’s been fine when using it.

Sehr übersichtliche und hilfreiche App für den Kita-Alltag. Super ist der Kundenservice, hier spricht man noch mit echten Menschen: schnell, freundlich und wirklich lösungsorientiert. Man fühlt sich ernst genommen und gut unterstützt.

An excellent communication tool or early years providers and home.
Observations are made easer with characteristics of effective learning and areas of learning available to add.
So many features to log and tack development. Highly recommend

Log in & log out are annoying

The app itself is totally fine, which probably means it’s good because I don’t think about its functionality. BUT please please add in biometric log in!! Parents are busy & we don’t have time to constantly re-sign in with a blimming password, when you constantly sign us out!
