Discovering a booking issue at the port is deeply frustrating, and we completely understand your anger. We want to assure you that Ferryhopper is an official partner of all the major ferry operators between Morocco and Spain, and we do not sell non-existent tickets. However, ferry schedules on this specific route can occasionally change abruptly, or sailings can be canceled by the ferry company due to adverse weather conditions, technical issues, or unexpected port traffic. When an operator cancels or changes a crossing, they notify our system so we can immediately alert you via email or SMS with instructions on how to get a full refund or rebook. If you did not receive an alert, it is possible the cancellation happened at the very last minute or the notification went to your spam folder. We absolutely do not want you to lose your money for a ferry that did not sail. Please reach out to our support team directly via live chat or by replying to your booking email with your booking reference. Barely a ticket broker
UPDATE: They did none of what they said could be done. I did ask for an agent but when one didn’t come on the AI told me I’d get an email. And I did send them an email. I did not get ANY acknowledgment from Ferryhopper that the ferry company had canceled until it was almost too late to book alternative travel. And they left it to me to find that alternative travel.

Dealing with a rescheduled ferry that is then canceled is incredibly stressful, and waiting 24 hours for a resolution when you are trying to travel is unacceptable. We are sincerely sorry that we let you down during this disruption. To be completely transparent with you: you are correct that our initial chat assistant is an AI, and it is designed to gather your details and pass them to our support team. However, during major ferry disruptions or peak travel periods, our human customer service agents get a massive influx of urgent cases all at once. This unfortunately creates a heavy backlog, which is why your email update was severely delayed. You can always ask to speak to an agent.
