Recently joined from OYG

The OYG fitness platform I’ve used for years has sadly closed. So I’ve signed up to FIIT and so far done some yoga, low impact cardio and strength workouts. Took me a little while to find my way round this app, and figure out what ‘metcon’ and ‘endure’ type workouts mean, but so far the actual workouts are excellent. There is loads of choice and different ways to use the app, e.g by studio, rebalance etc or equipment, level etc. trainers so far have been excellent, focussing on correct form and giving adaptations where needed.

Glitchy

When the app works the classes are good, but too often I am trying to start classes and all I get is that spinning wheel of death! All updates are done on phones/TV etc and still classes won’t load or cut off mid class. Spend more time trying to find a class that will play/load than doing any exercise. Very very frustrating!

Broken Apple Watch connectivity

The connection with Apple Watch has been buggy for over 3 weeks now and my daily workouts have not been tracked in the Vitality app since then. Tried deleting/reinstalling the apps on both iPhone and Watch, restarting devices, updating, disconnecting Bluetooth, pausing/restarting workouts, etc. A bit of a motivation killer when I want to do my exercise but end up having to fight with technical issues before I even get started! Good workouts otherwise.

Watch integration recently broken

When I first started using this a while ago it was brilliant. On the whole the workouts and trainers are really great, but I’ve given it 3* because it’s essentially stopped working with my watch.
Someone either in Apple or FIIT software development have broken the Bluetooth integration. Workouts start well, watch (Apple Ultra 3 - not exactly a cheap bit of kit) is connected and tracking heart rate. Within a few minutes it switches to “waiting for workout” (or some similar message) and won’t reconnect. Oddly heart rate tracking seems to continue working as it shows it on the phone, but essentially the watch is now independent of the phone.
I finish the workout, submit workout feedback on the phone and the watch doesn’t know anything about it, I have to stop it on my watch manually.
I’ve reinstalled the app, wiped and reset the watch, nothing works.
On the other hand tracking a run works fine on Apple health. Even playing Pickleball where I’m 10 meters from my phone still tracks everything correctly.
I get this free via Vitality, so I continue, but if I had to pay for it I would have cancelled and switched by now.

New buggy update?

As a regular user, I notice Fiit has been very buggy as of late. I’m not sure if there’s been a new update recently.

A couple of examples of the bugs: Fiit failing to connect to Apple Watch and workout session suddenly stopped working.

The biggest pain point has been the inability to jump to the workout block where you were disconnected from.

Everytime I can’t connect, the session repeats itself from the beginning and I have to wait for the session to get to the block I’m catching up to. A couple of times, I had to finish the session myself using the breakdown list, but this resulted in the workout not being recorded.

I have a screen recording of an instance where a session when reloaded, the audio overlaps on previous sessions (I had to reload the session three times to no success).

As I have Fiit linked to my Vitality accounts, I have lost out on points because of the inability to fully complete the exercise sessions.
