What's New in Fitness for the Fighting Man

2.3.3

July 25, 2026

What's new in 2.3.3: - FFM is now free to use. The free tier includes the on-device AI coach, your dashboard, browsing the full Program Library, logging workouts, and every fitness-test score. - Unlock the rest when you want it. Full Access adds structured programs, the custom Workout Builder, Recovery analytics and full Stats, Nutrition with meal logging and macro targets, meal plans, and calendar history. Premium AI adds unlimited cloud AI, now with an annual option. - Landscape on iPhone: every screen now rotates, with layouts rebuilt for the wide canvas and a side rail that keeps controls clear of the camera. - A smarter workout runner: in landscape your set sits beside the muscle map and step by step form cues, and finishing the last set takes you straight to the summary. - Performance Stats fix: cardio now scores from your run pace instead of reading stuck-low, so the radar reflects your real fitness. - Easier custom programs, app-wide scroll arrows that show where more content is waiting, and faster screens when you return to them.

User reviews

Fantastic workout app!

I was skeptical at first since I’ve never really been someone who uses fitness apps. I actually stumbled across this app when I started working out again, and I’m glad I did.

I love the clean design and how customizable everything is. Overall, it’s a fantastic app. I don’t use the AI features very much, but that’s simply because I don’t trust AI.

I did run into one issue with the health app connection, but the developer responded quickly and had it fixed within just a few days, which says a lot about their commitment to improving the app and supporting users.

Even though I’m not military, I can confidently say this is an excellent app for anyone who regularly goes to the gym. Highly recommended!

Response from developer

Thank you, this means a lot. We built FFM to be clean, flexible, and genuinely useful whether or not you ever use the AI features, so it is great to hear the design and customization are landing for you. We are also glad we could get that Apple Health connection sorted quickly; reports like yours are exactly what help us catch and fix issues fast. Welcome back to training, and thank you for the recommendation.

So close yet

I’m the target demographic and I want to see this app succeed, but there is too much jank at this stage. Resolutions do not match phone screens, the watch app desynchronizes with the phone, the AI is unreliable, and the meal planner is a struggle to use. Cannot currently recommend this over the other solutions available.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback, Emartleb. We appreciate you taking the time to share specific areas where the experience did not meet expectations. We are continuing to refine screen compatibility, Apple Watch syncing, AI reliability, and the meal planning workflow. Your feedback is helpful as we prioritize improvements. If you are willing to share any additional details, please contact us at support@roxykovu.com so we can better understand your experience and continue improving the app.

Great Vision, Awesome Team

It is what it says it is, but the features that the team slammed in this app make it worth the price point. It’s not just their books, it’s a great overall app.

Response from developer

We really appreciate this. The goal was always to build something bigger than the books, a complete training system that earns its place on your phone, so hearing that the features deliver on that vision means we are on the right track. Feedback like yours keeps the team pushing to make every update better. Thank you for the support.

Great App

The workouts are good and the fact it is all encompassing (workouts, rest, recover) is handy. There are quite a few bugs that are not product breaking but you can tell it’s a new app

You cannot change months on the calendar. The arrows don’t work but they are there.

Mine is not pulling data from health kit? I use a garmin watch and the information is showing up in health kit, but not in the app

It would also be nice to preview the workout in the workout menu without having to start it or go through calendar.

Overall very happy and will stick around while the app is further developed

Response from developer

This is the kind of review that directly shapes the app, so thank you. Every issue you raised has since been addressed: the calendar month arrows now page correctly and stay where you put them, Apple Health import was reworked so data from third party watches like your Garmin syncs into the app, and you can now tap a day to preview the full workout without starting it. You flagged these as a new app finding its feet, and that is exactly how we treat them, fix fast and keep improving. Grab the latest update, and thank you for sticking with us while we build.

Not letting me progress in program

The app is great, however I am stuck on day 1 of the program. I have completed and logged everything but it will not allow me to progress with the next workouts. Also would be helpful to be able to manually input run times rather than having to leave the timer running the whole time.

Response from developer

Thank you for flagging this, and our apologies for the frustration. The progression issue you hit, where completed workouts would not unlock the next day, traced back to how program days were being credited, and it was fixed in a later update, so the program now advances correctly as you log. We also added manual entry for run times, so you can tap to type your time instead of leaving the timer running the whole way. Reports like yours are how these things get found and fixed, so thank you, and if you give it another run we would love an updated review.
