Terrible changes
This used to be a good system. They have changed the app so you can no longer correct the system when it misidentifies the water source (which is common). It no longer learns your patterns such as irrigation as well as before. When you set a manual override, you can no longer override the max time of 120 minutes. When trying to get support, you will be transferred online to their Moen web site. But, they no longer recognize your user name and password (probably lost it all during the transition). I would not purchase a Moen Flo again because of the horrible app and web control changes.

1 Star – Unreliable app and device
I am very disappointed with the Flo system. My leak detector was working previously and has never been damaged, but after it disconnected I have spent hours trying every possible troubleshooting step to reconnect it without success.
The app repeatedly gets stuck during the Wi-Fi setup process and provides little useful information about what is actually wrong. I have followed the instructions, verified my Wi-Fi network, restarted devices, and attempted the setup multiple times, but the leak detector still will not reconnect.
Even more concerning, the Flo Smart Water Shutoff itself does not function properly through the app. The shutoff control remains in a constant “connecting” state and never becomes fully available to turn the water on or off remotely. As shown in the app, the control continuously spins and never reaches a ready state.
A water protection system is supposed to provide confidence and reliability, especially when you are away from home. Instead, I have a leak detector that will not reconnect and a shutoff device that cannot be reliably controlled through the app.
For a premium product designed to prevent costly water damage, this experience is unacceptable. Moen needs to improve the reliability of both the hardware and the app, as well as provide better troubleshooting tools and customer support.

Unusable features need to be fixed
App has a warning and says my Flo device is offline, but the physical has all green lights on and the app is showing real time flow data. Tapping “bring back device online” does not work. Other buttons can’t be tapped in this version of the app either, rendering them useless: View support articles, contact us, view setup guide (all in the help center tab)

App is annoying. Many false micro leaks.
The system seems to register a lot of false micro leak alarms. From toilet useage in the middle of the night at odd hours. To running more than two things at once it tries to force shut off. My brother takes two hr long showers and it constantly shuts off on him. It does not like it when we run dish washer, shower and laundry all at the same time. I have other issues with this thing trying to say a massive leak when we were just running more than normal then it harasses to auto shut off water. It use to give a button to say “yes it’s me” but i can’t find it any more. I will retrain this thing again. We have rotating random schedules and it is in confusion a lot. Even with repetitive habits it should not be setting it off this much with micro leak detection. I thought it was to learn after a while what your normal is. I am going to retrain this thing. I don’t need to be alerted each time my room mate uses the bathroom at 2 in the morning.

Don’t waste your money
Completely useless, leak detectors do not function, the one device that connected to the wifi emptied a new battery in 12 hours. Expensive garbage
