This literally works
Thank you Flowly and wwp
Breathing Technique
Love it
You sold out
I’ve been struggling for a few months now, trying to adjust to working life after years of staying home, and I’m not doing very well. I don’t have the time for hours of yoga and meditation anymore to get myself back into balance. So I decided to go back to what used to work (this app) and try to give my nervous system a little reset over Christmas. I still have all the equipment, so I figured it’d be just a matter of renewing a lapsed subscription on my phone.
Not the case. Come to find out that you guys moved this whole thing behind a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR PAYWALL and decided to let the health insurance industry take their cut, as well. Nothing about the new Pain Program (again, $1000!) required you to cut off the old subscription model. But maybe that was a condition for getting an exclusive deal with Aetna?
I’m truly disgusted and also really heartbroken. Nothing good ever lasts in this world. So here is my message to Celine Tien, Julien Soros, and Narae Kim, the founders of Flowly: SHAME ON YOU.
Effective for my pain and anxiety
Game Changer
$300 Paywall
It’s not an upgrade if the basic functionality of the app requires you to pay. Just charge that much to download the app at this point.
My rating is low not because they shouldn’t be allowed to charge $309 for their program, but because they’re deceptively calling it an upgrade when it’s really the basic price of the app.
Treats my Anxiety and Depression
Crashes before I can use it
Great job, Flowly! And, thank you!
Flowly helped me quit smoking
My life style use to be unsustainable to the point where I would sneak out of a movie theater to smoke because I had trouble with attention and an addict to dopamine. Flowly really helped open my eyes to the dangers of respiratory inflammation and how to get control over my breathing. I tried multiple programs like this such as breathwrk but nothing compares to the fun VR works I get to look around in with Flowly.
Highly recommend this application if you deal with some kind of addiction or just anxiety in general.
Y’all have got to be kidding with the price and the cringe
The first, most important one, is that Flowly is cost prohibitive. It is MUCH too expensive. Between the low budget graphics to the fact that I’ve had the heart rate monitor die on me for no reason, and that your demographic is chronically ill, and possibly on disability benefits, patients, it is simply unfair how expensive the membership is. I don’t know a single person who can justify the price. It’s frankly ableist to take advantage of people in pain, desperate for relief, like Flowly is.
The second has to do with the first in some way. I just got my “Flowly Hero Badge” and it’s beyond creepy how “drink the kool-aid” and cultish some of the language Flowly uses is. My partner is actually, sometimes jokingly sometimes not, worried that this is some sort of cult based on the language he’s seen, and he doesn’t use the app. Now I have this stupid, wasteful piece of junk that will fill up a landfill. What even is a Flowly Hero? I just want to use the app, I don’t need to join a group… it just comes off as cringy and weird.
Bottom line: Maybe instead of spending money on weird promo materials, lower the cost so your app is more accessible and more people can get the real help this app and the meditations can provide.
Great app, best way to meditate
The graphics give me the stimulation I need to stay interested and breath graph helps keep my breathing consistent.
I have been meditating pretty much every day (and that’s new for me).
Small investment, great return.
HR sensor won’t charge
Best Meditation App to Date!
For years I have had a FitBit that tracks my heart rate variability. I haven’t been able to improve it.
I also subscribed to other meditation apps, thinking meditating would help improve my HRV. No real improvement, until Flowly.
The immersive app calms me down. Within two weeks I noticed major improvements in my body. Even my kiddo has Flowly sessions with me and loves the app.
