Buggy
I can’t tell you how excited I am to have Focus at Will back under a new branding and technology behind it. The app is a little buggy. Sometimes the music just stops and will not resume even if you try to resume it, requiring a force quit. Also, it is not intuitive on how to change a timer on some of the preset sessions, although if you try, you can figure out how to do it. Otherwise, the new enhancements to the Service itself are awesome!

AI-Free Focus Music!
When I found out that the creator of the focus music app Focus@Will had developed a new app, I was thrilled and immediately signed up. I love that it starts off with a quick questionnaire in order to know which stations to recommend, but the entire library is open so you can pick “stations” that fit your particular mood, task, and/or ability to focus at that time. It’s tailor-made for people who have ADHD or misophonia (aversion to certain sounds) and need something in the background while they work. I love that the songs are NOT AI-generated, but instead made BY humans FOR humans. There’s also a nice variety of stations, each with three different intensity levels depending on what you need. And, best of all, no lyrics to distract from writing or other activities! The timer is nice, too; I don’t always notice my timers, but when the music stops, I DO notice that! I’ve only been using it for a short while now but am already in love!
