Insanely stupid

I don’t love AI, but my dislike is more towards generative AI than others, so I tried this. I’ve been on the app for like ten minutes. It’s not good. First of all, it allows people as young as NINE to use their app (presumably, as that’s how low they’ll let you scroll when inserting your age). I’ve done calorie deficits before (I’m fifteen) and most apps I’ve found don’t let you even sign up if you put your age as under eighteen, due to it being inadvisable for children to focus on weight loss. I’m only attempting after getting the advice of a doctor. Second of all, while filling out my information, it told me I would be losing about 11 pounds a month. That’s roughly .4 pounds a DAY, which is an unhealthy rate to lose weight. Third of all, it gave me very much eating disorder vibes. That’s just unpleasant. And fourth of all, when I finally got into the app, it recommended I eat 2452 calories a day. I’m 5’3, do a milder sport, and am trying to lose about 20 pounds. In no world would that much food help me lose weight. I don’t even think I eat that much now, nor could I if I really tried.

Wishy-washy

While the photo analysis feature is neat, there is no way to get the app to stop suggesting I eat foods I am allergic to (nightshades, lentils) so it is constantly giving inaccurate to my individual situation meal suggestions.

It is also frustrating to be shamed for eating large breakfasts which I need to do to support my ADHD (and large breakfasts were JUST recommended by the app’s own built-in class series! The left hand is not talking to the right!!!)

Support is difficult if not impossible to contact.

No improvements seem to be made.

App has poor grammar.

Seed feature is obnoxious and there is no way to disable it.

There is also no way to reduce motion for those of us who get dizzy easily.

I want a refund.

On continue ;)

Another Misleading Description

Yes, this is free to download but beyond that it’s a subscription fee—

Not good

I would consider it expensive. The app is subpar, inaccurate, not easy to navigate. It offers “classes” that teach you about how food works in the body and such which was informative but I did not like the app overall.

Very good however improvements suggested below

1) Superior to other apps I have tried however would benefit from barcode upload not just photograph - emailed example
2) I like the daily AI analysis however how about a weekly and monthly sunmary?

Great app

Has Indian dish names. Greatest

Good for journaling

The journaling works well but is a low quality Zoe. And the gamification of weight loss sucks. I want a good calorie counter I don’t want a stupid pet to raise. It sucks time from
My day with irrelevant distractions. Wish I had not paid for a year. Will not be renewing

Support

Merci pour le bel accompagnement au quotidien, vous m’aidez beaucoup

Bait and Switch

Said could cancel within 30 days, not sure, but I feel like it is going to charge me for the year. If you sign up they then try to add the meal planner as separate cost. BEWARE!

Great app wish you could tailor it even more tho

The app is great, it helps me stay informed about what I am eating and recommends ways to make my eating habits healthier. However, for the recipe portion I wish you could take off specific foods you don’t like or are allergic to.

Goodbye MFP

This is app is amazing! Keeps me engaged and it’s so easy to log.

Corrections

Trying to correct foods on here and you can’t. It keeps looping back to the same food to “addl when you report issues instead of letting you actually report issues.

Great Calorie tracker

I love the recommendations I struggle with eating because I overthink what I should be eating and them giving me insight and helping me better understand what my body needs is the best

Recommend!

After being afraid to start a calorie tracker again given bad experiences in the past, I’ve been really pleasantly surprised with Foodvisor! It’s never been so uncomplicated and unemotional for me to lose weight.

Time consuming menus

At its core, it is a good app, however, the constant ads, menus, redirections, that you are forced to navigate, even with the paid app is intolerable.

Gamifying - Dumbing Down

Great app, used it before. I wonder about the particular research which indicated the powerful need for this stupid gamifying feature, the plant. Really? Why? Why a reliable calorie tracker need to be infantilised?

Good tracker, but missing the gamification aspect

I really like the ai tracking with photos. The price is good for the tools available. I really wanted to play with the little seed that grows with your progress. I thought the gamification aspect of the program would be fun, but it won’t unlock after several days of saying to come back tomorrow and log a meal. That part is disappointing, but otherwise, very useful.
