What's New in Forward

1.1

August 12, 2026

iCloud sync. Your workouts, plans and records now stay in step across your iPhones through your own iCloud account. There is still no Forward account and no server. Progress has been rebuilt around strength. Browse any exercise you train to see its chart, records and every session you have logged. Weekly sets per muscle replaced volume totals. Muscles are now tracked properly. Tag an exercise as quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, biceps or triceps instead of just legs or arms, and change it any time. Your past sessions re-count immediately. Your screen no longer locks between sets. There is a new toggle in Profile if you want the old behaviour. Your CSV export can now be imported back into Forward, so it works as a real backup. Tap any exercise while logging to see its full history and records. Apple Health now records calories with your workouts, so lifting counts toward your rings. Pull-ups, dips and other bodyweight lifts can now set personal records. Fixes: an unresponsive Progress screen, exercise rows that ignored taps, and a duplicated exercise library on a second device.
