I payed by card could not find a driver and for 20 mins I cancelled and did not get refunded wouldn’t recommend
Terrible Service Don’t Bother
I honestly have no idea why this company is paying to host this app as they clearly have no interest in actually using it. This is the third time I have been left waiting having booked well in advance using the app and it is the third time that I have been told rudely by an operator that I should have just called instead. Then why have an app
In the first place? Especially when not all your taxis take card payments or have a functioning card reader even when they say they do. This company refuses to move into the 21st century and provide a functioning service to customers. Today I missed a much needed medical appointment that will be a headache to have to try and reschedule. I’m done with Foyle Taxis, you’ve just lost a customer.

Good but could better
Hello,
While I appreciate the app and use it daily it has a few issues.
1. Bugs — It will say your journey has been cancelled with a ‘oops something went wrong’ but the journey hasn’t been cancelled and the driver is still coming despite it not telling you.
2. Not Popular — taxi drivers have openly told me they hate using the app over money as they make more from cash in hand, understandable, but it means you’re going to take longer to find a taxi driver with this.
3. Long waits —
Long waits for taxi drivers are common with this, I’ve been waiting over 1 hour sometimes to get to work in the morning and end being late constantly.

room for improvement
if you dont prebook then it will say "waiting to connect you to a driver: waiting time approx 3 mins" and then i will still be waiting 30 minutes later??
Don’t take a pre-booking if you don’t want to turn up at the agreed time
Pre-booked the taxi on the app and called to confirm that the booking to ensure I don’t miss the bus to the airport. 5min to pickup time I noticed on the app that my driver is more than 30min away from me. I called the driver and the office and received the same answer - we will get there when we’ll get there and you are likely to miss your bus and therefore flight. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that they shouldn’t take the job in the first place. Terrible service and no manners.

Called the company because I booked on the app. Waited 30 minutes for a taxi and am still waiting… I’m going to miss my train… disappointed

Pretty good!
You can pay in the app with apple pay which is very convenient, a lot like uber in that regard. What can I say, Foyle taxis are great but like all Derry taxis, whenever they’re collectively busy you’ll never get a lift anywhere. Always book 20 mins before you really need them and you’ll be fine.

Usually works perfectly, can be a bit dodgy when it comes to weekend nights. Would be a 5* if crypto was a payment option

I booked a taxi for 9:30 at 8 due to having to be in work at 9:50, the taxi company left me late for work as it wasn’t here the time I was supposed to arrive in work leaving my 10 minutes late
