Useful tool
Does its job. Well made
Pending transactions don’t update in your budget
Pending transactions don’t update in your budget, so it is impossible to keep track of your spending. Customer support no help.
Keeps Crashing
Just a few hours since downloading this app and have linked couple of accounts. The app is auto categorising the transactions as it should. However it keeps hanging and not letting me navigate through the app. I have to force Kill it.
Can’t even log in
After creating an account, it asked for a code from email to verify. Not a big deal, very normal.
However when I leave the app to get the code from my email it resets to the log in page??
It’s a cycle that can’t be broken as it keeps sending verification codes every time you try to go in. Frustrating would be an understatement!

Good for tracking current spending, but reporting and account connections need improvement
In general, Frollo is ok and works well enough for tracking my current expenses and getting a quick view of where my money is going.
My main issues are with the historical spending reports and account connections. When I look at expenses for previous periods, the totals are often not accurate because not all transactions seem to be included in the category calculations. To get reliable figures, I usually have to export the data and do the calculations myself in a spreadsheet.
I also have to relink my AMEX credit card almost daily, which becomes quite frustrating and makes it difficult to rely on the app for an up-to-date view of my finances.
I’d also love to see more flexibility with categories. It would be much better to have categories and subcategories. For example, I’d like to track all my eating out expenses together while still being able to classify transactions as coffee, takeaway, restaurants, pubs, etc. At the moment, it feels too granular if I don’t want separate budgets for each of those.

Very Helpful
I got Frollo and didn’t use it for ages. I am regretting it now as I absolutely love it. It is helping me plan for my retirement spending.
SCAM FRAUD SCAM
!!! DO NOT USE !!!
The week I downloaded and gave access to my account, my card was frauded.
This was my first and only credit card I’ve had for over seven years, and never have I had any theft or fraud.
This app and company is definitely not good for your financial security.

Set up takes some time but worth it.
Downloaded this app because I needed to be able to track the family spending. Had it for about seven days and already found places where I can save money like cancelling subscriptions that we’re not using but didn’t remember them, seeing the large amount going out on toll bills now we don’t take tolls as much and many other things. This app has amazing potential for saving by supporting a tight budget.

Awesome & Secure Personal Finance App
A few annoying UX bugs (Display of filters row disappears in Portfolio) but hopefully can be fixed soon and nothing breaking!
Please keep it going…

Does the job
Great for what it is. Gives a good overview and detail if you want. Would love it if support for Betashare ETFs could be incorporated. And maybe AI thoughts on my expenditures? A guy can wish right.
Text colour and background colour both white
My app after update text colour and background colour both white i can’t read anything. I have deleted app few times and re downloaded still the same. Can’t see any settings to change this
New update
Can no longer change the merchant name in the new update and still can’t have more than one bill from the same supplier.
Great!
I suck so much at budgets and this app has made it so much easier for me to track my money and reduce my unnecessary and unwanted spending.
Good but some bugs needs fixing
While the overall design is good and helpful, syncing the credit card is so glitchy. Each transaction is showing up more than 100 times and the overall monthly spend is showing up in $5M+ which basically made the credit card sync unusable and I had to unlink the card account
Great but glitchy
I really like the app! However it seems to glitch a lot, doubling up transactions/bank accounts. I hope this glitch gets ironed out!
Frollo is amazing budgeting tool
Tommy and Team are amazing. App is so cool and helps me with my budgeting across multiple banks
Simple and effective.
I have used this app for a couple of years now. I love the layout. I use it everyday to see an overall picture of my finances.
Awesome
Don’t really understand why some reviews are so harsh. People seem to forget this app is free.
It connects through Open Banking, no need to share passwords, and it actually works. I can categorise every transaction properly, set budgets, and see where my money goes in one place.
For a free app, this is seriously impressive. Clean interface, easy to use, and does exactly what I need.
If you just want to track spending without paying for fancy extras, this is more than enough.

Very good!
This takes some initial setup (a few hours to go through and make sure everything is categorised correctly) but now that I’ve done that I think it will be a very useful app.
Some things I wish I had realised before I started setting it up:
- You can go into Settings > Security and change how much time passes before your password is required. It was very annoying to enter my password every single time I exited the app (e.g., to cross-reference a transaction in my bank account) so I wish I had changed this setting sooner!
- To select multiple transactions at once, go to Portfolio > Transactions, and click ‘Select’ (in the top-left corner). This makes things SO much faster!
- To delete or rename new categories you have made, go to Settings > Buckets & categories Also, definitely look things up on the Frollo website FAQ, this app has a lot more functionality than I realised because I didn’t think to look it up!
Some suggested improvements:
- The multi-select option could also be available under Cashflow when I click on a category (e.g., Transfer In)
- When I select a transaction and then exit it again, the “transactions” page seems to refresh and I lose my place. For example, if I scrolled down to April 2025 and selected a transaction to recategorise it, when I exit the transaction I am taken back up to February 2026. It is a relatively minor issue but it would be really nice if when I exited I kept my place on the Transactions page.
