Still the only platform I’ll ever use. Latest update the pause feature doesn’t work

I just wanted to let the developers of this app know that the pause feature is not working for me and the only way to pause a show is by using my Bluetooth earbuds. I would appreciate it if this was resolved. As for the overall review of the app, This is something I’ve said before but I’ll say it again, I’m a 90s baby and have grown up with Funimation incorporated into my life so to hear that this app will be moving over to crunchyroll, (whom is in the middle of a class action lawsuit btw) it made me cringe. I don’t think it’s the best decision for the platform as a whole or even for Sony to force people like me, who finds Funimation a very nostalgic and fun concept that has been woven into their life and wish to continue to be, over to a platform that we will never fully embrace or commit to because let’s be real. There’s a lot more people than just myself who will not be making the switch and that’s a lot of lost revenue for Sony and Funimation. The second this app stops working is the day I will be going old school and watching DVDs and watching other platforms. Crunchyroll will not be one of those things.

Policy for refund needs to be updated

So I bought it cause I thought as advertised that they had Naruto movie 6 and 7 available but when I tried it didn’t work. Now this is the ONLY reason I bought it cause I have crunchyroll and it works for me but they don’t have those movies available in this region, so when I saw Google showed funimation had it I thought great and when you go to the app on a streaming device or my phone when I search for it the movie shows up and even allows you to click on it, it just won’t play and refers you to customer service, so I reached out and customer service says they don’t have the rights to show it anymore, fair enough so that same day I requested a refund cause I don’t need it if I can’t watch what I wanted to see, they referred me to Apple, apple always gives me back my money on purchases but they did this time and when I asked they said the developer funimation’s policy does not permit them to do so, and referred me to funimation, reached out to them and their response, because I paid through third party (Apple) they have no way to refund me. It should not be this way. That’s a full month that I still have yet to use cause I don’t want to that has done NOTHING for me

FAIL in any language

Your app translations are as bad as the translations on your anime (but better-voiced): “Only Premium Plus and Premium Plus Ultra users must[sic] be able to access the app offline” And I thought the app was useless BEFORE! You are deliberately blocking access to PAID Digital Copies. Can you say “Class Action Lawsuit”? Update: this app FAILs on EVERY platform iOS (iPad and iPhone), PlayStation, Roku, etc. They constantly insert ads into PAID Digital Copies. Why bother logging in or building a digital library when your paid content has ads like anonymous, for-free guest viewing? That’s *IF* your Digital Copies are still in your Library! Funimation didn’t lose the licenses (yet)… those paid-for episodes are available but only on the main stream… with ads or, get this, only to premium subscribers! You need to subscribe to access your purchased content… which is otherwise available to all subscribers! Maybe you can find the missing Digital Copies in your Library by switching platforms, but I can all but guarantee you that they’ll have ads, even if you TRY to watch from My Library / My Anime! And the dubs are still garbage

I have a question about one piece

Your platform your entertainment platform is a 10 out of 10 but I have to wonder why is it whenever you get one piece in English and I watch it like I watch the same episode but it takes you it says it’s in English and Japanese but when I click on it, it says this is not available in English I don’t like like why are you going to get my hopes up being like hey there’s a new episode of one piece better go watch that to just then realize that you have to wait like a couple weeks for them to actually have the episode out. And it’s annoying like like if you don’t have it in English just don’t until it’s done stop getting my hopes up. I am in it with one piece only so just don’t get my hopes up. If you don’t have it ready yet you don’t say that you have it ready that’s just called being a jerk

Many pros and cons

Okay, I would like to start off that this app is amazing, there’s many pros but there’s a few cons. One, the ads. Funimation, every single episode I watch it over-boards the amount of ads. Like when I start an episode it gives me 6-7 ads. When I’m getting to like the middle of an episode ANOTHER 7 ads. When I skip to a part, MORE ADS. Now, I get that there’s premium and all that but like can you reduce the amount of ads?? Like just give two ads or one, don’t give an excessive amount of ads. 1 or 2 ads is fine. Premium from what I’ve heard isn’t as good either. I get that you’re trying to boost your business but believe me when I say this, lesser the ads the more positive reviews you’ll get. No. 2, more language. Now, I get that you need premium to unlock certain subs and dubs, but like why is that an option? It’s as if you’re trying to rob a bunch of people and the subtitles aren’t even accurate to what the characters are saying in the sub version of the anime. 3, adding more anime. Funimation, you should atleast add more anime that has been released and make it sub for like a least amount of time and then add a 2nd option to where u can watch it in English. Alright that’s the end of the review. If your looking to download it be prepared for the amount of ads you’re about to see.
