Doesn’t do much

This app contains your itinerary and add-ons, and there seems to be a chat room for your trip, but editing any personal info requires another website and the app doesn’t even send emails to G Adventures Customer Service. There’s a form that will pop up an error message.

To the UX Designer: When I’m on a trip, the chat is the most important part of this app and it’s annoying to have to click Chat from the nav, then pick the active chat from a list. Also, all the photos shared get deleted within a day without warning. Useful: Make a tab in the chat with all the shared photos that persists.

Packing list doesn’t save after you close the app

Bit frustrating when you add quite a few custom items.

Can’t log in

Doesn’t matter how many times I change my password on my computer/the website, I get an error when I try and log in on the app. Wanted the app for my trip

Lame chat

Forcing customers to use its subpar chat system makes no sense. There’s many many options for widely used chat systems that provide plenty of privacy safeguards. This makes it easier to connect with and share with your fellow travelers both during and after the tour.

Awful

Even after reading all the bad reviews I was still astounded by how poor this app performs. It should be taken down immediately and completely replaced by total new site.

A waste of time

What’s the point if an app that redirects you to the website any. And every time you log on you have to go back to your email to get a code. Life is too short for this app when you’re on an adventure.

What the heck is this for ? I thought I could search possible trips and see the ones I saved but no . It’s very generic and keeps referring to the website. Whats the point ? INVEST and hire someone to make your app useful please !

Poorly Built and Not Reliable

It’s disappointing how poorly this app performs for a travel company in the digital age. Beyond some basic information and a chat message showing the number of people on your tour (and their names), the app isn’t reliable and frequently changes information. You’d think a company like G would have it together by now, especially when travelers expect accurate, accessible information right at their fingertips.

Buggy

If you don’t put in your trip number upon opening your account (I didn’t have it handy in the moment, thought I would be able to add it later), there is no opportunity to add it later, which means you can’t connect to your group at all. You can’t edit anything after the fact. When I tried to send an inquiry about it within the app, the drop-down menu for the subject didn’t work, and it wouldn’t send the help request without it. When I tried to delete my account to start over, twice, the request was ignored and I’m still a sitting duck. This app is trash.

Can’t even create an account!

No matter what format you enter your DOB, you get an ‘Invalid Date’ message.

10 yrs never worked

I’ve done multiple G trips these past 10 years and each time I download the app hoping maybe THIS TIME FINALLY it will work, but nope.
Great company overall but their tech isn’t great to deal with.

Bad user experience, limited functionality

The app is hard to use and lacks the basic functionality one would want for a trip. It’s hard to navigate and find the most important things such as invoice, support contact, basic information. It would improve the pre-tour customer experience to have a well-made app

Please hire a good product manager!

The customer experience is awful! You need to keep switching between the app and the web browser to search and favourite trips. This makes the user drop between the entire user experience. There are issues with search as well + filters, the UI is not responsive to filters quickly on the app and the side bar is a pain to remove once you’ve selected your filter!

Everything in one place

This app is super handy. It has all my travel details and documents, packing lists and flight info. Best of all is the currency calculator which is super handy. Glitches mentioned in other reviews must be worked out.

Make no Sense - useless

I Booked a Tour- can not see the tour booked no Chat possible and Most of the time you will be transfered to the Website - where you cannot see your tour either- trash total

Terrible App

This app is of no use. You can’t view any details of your trip. It directs you back to the website. G needs to invest some money into this app or just get rid of it.

What is this for?

I’m reading reviews written years ago, saying the app didn’t work. Uploaded the latest version on Sept. 13, 2024 - and still it is of little use. The upcoming trips you are booked on do not show up at all. This is particularly vexing when travellers are directed to the app. Odd, really.

Mediocre

My 5th G trip and the App has never really improved.

I keep getting added to a group chat for a trip I’m not on.

Future trips should not transfer you to the web.

The CEO should be added 10+ days before the trip to allow for communication.

Weather reports might be helpful.

App is inconsistent in its functionality.
