Forced to use bad app to redeem rewards
Cashiers use to be able to redeem your monthly pro member credit and all your points at the register. Now you’re forced to redeem thru the app. The app doesn’t load well with an excellent connection and it definitely won’t load inside of a GameStop store. Points can only be redeemed in intervals and they removed the $5 option. Points and monthly credit can no longer be used on the same transaction.
GameStop continues to reduce pro membership benefits, makes it difficult to use the ones that are left, have a poor app, poor customer service and are the worse TCG scalpers around. Not only am I not renewing my membership, I’ll be shopping elsewhere.

App will not update
App keeps telling me to update but it doesn’t want to update just keeps saying OPEN app and can not update so now the app is useless
Great Variety of Products, But The App….?
I love that there is an app for GameStop. There is a huge variety of stock for whatever it is that is needed. That being said, the games have preview videos and photos. These videos and photos don’t open in full screen or at all. That’s the only gripe I have.

This app works sometimes & sometimes it doesn’t. It would also be nice to see my pre-orders online. But No, I can’t see my preorders or find them. This app is kinda a waster of space, it I didn’t have coupons.
Slow, glitchy, frustrating
Orders area of the app only opens one out of every 5-10 times. Have to close and reopen the app over and over.
Also, I couldn’t access my in store coupon because I couldn’t get the app activation email to send. Checked spam. Nothing.
The email came a day later when I was no longer at the store so I missed being able to use the coupon for June - which is why I signed up.

I’m not allowed to use this
This app does not work on the latest version that I am able to acquire on my iPhone. This means I am completely unable to use your service. This is ridiculous to gatekeep out older phone models.
iOS 26? Really?
Why do I need iOS 26 for a glorified storefront app? Ridiculous.

I love this app but it would be nice when I pre order a game in store to see that I pre ordered in the app and at which store also so I can track it better.

No I'm not going to use this stupid app just so I can utilize my $5 off or rewards points every month. Been with GS for over a decade, and this will be the last year of my pro membership.
The fall of GameStop
The app is super laggy and never syncs up with pre orders, the store locator also doesn’t work sometimes. The biggest downfall is GameStop getting rig of game informer and now no more rewards points as of August 2026 what’s the point in having a membership now? Back to best buy or Walmart to buy games.

Was told that I can’t use email gift card in store and had to use it online but I can’t add a shipping address on app. Functional useless.

Couldn’t redeem or get my rewards or my account back because they don’t send email verification codes and just don’t let the employees use your points or rewards it’s all in the app now which is sad very sad I won’t be paying for my membership anymore and won’t be back to GameStop in general I hope the business crashes

… I tried to get support with the website only to be treated like it was a PEBCAK error!! You may be saving pocket change with hiring off shore phone support but in the end, you are stopping sales from your elite customers! Contact me if you care about keeping me as your customer.
