Still needs Siri. Come on already. They finally fixed the app so I will now give it three stars.
This application, with a foibles, mostly does what it should. It is still cumbersome to use, but at least they fixed the backend problem that caused no ends in headache for every Genesis owner who uses the application. The continued lack of Siri support though is really unfortunate especially for a luxury EV. Siri API support has been available for several years and there’s no excuse to not include it. Get with the times folks. You can have five stars when I can use Siri to control most of the major functions of the car.

Worthless in Puerto Rico
The app doesn’t work in Puerto Rico. You try to register your car, and neither with the vin # or address the app works.

Absolutely the most useful tool for everyday tasks I sometimes have forgotten in the past. Locking my car reminder is great!

The mileage shown in this app is totally incorrect as it shows it has over 1 million miles instead of 20,000.

It’s okay, I’ve seen worse car apps but it could use a fair amount of polish and streamlining.
At the very least, clean up the notifications. Why in the world do I need to see my VIN on a status notification?
And why now in July is the app ignoring the notification settings and delivering push notifications I have turned off? It’s either that or the notification descriptions are so poor you can’t tell what it’s going to do.

Love having the intelligent assistant I think it’s a great feature. Sometimes I just need to come to my car. I forget my keys or anything like that and I can just open it up through my phone or start up my car before I really enjoy it

Whatever you're collecting, Genesis, you don't need it. Can't even open the app without enabling location services? I'm cancelling my Connected Services 👎

Recent update requires location services for no clear reason
I’ve used the app for a few years now and it has worked well. However, a recent update requires location services just to log in, and the release notes do not mention this change. I do not keep location services on, which means I would have to turn them on briefly just to use the app to do a climate start, for example. This makes the service more trouble than it’s worth. Because there is no obvious functionality that would require location services, either adding this requirement is an error by the app developers or Genesis is just collecting data.

2025 GV80 infotainment system SUCKs
What a cluster $80k and the infotainment drops excessively and recently stopped pairing to my phone via Bluetooth. Should be easy enough forget GV 80 and repair the phone. I had to delete an app, drop Apple wallet app and now AirPlay won’t work. The Chevy trax I rented was bare bones but had a 1,000 times better connectivity system. Let’s not forget the wireless charger just gets your phone excessively hot, but the genesis retailer told me it was an iPhone design problem? Yeah because the $10 wireless charger use at home works fine? Seriously do not buy
