Terrible app
It seems that every time I open this app it gets worse and worse. From not being able to make payments or schedule appointments, this app is practically useless. Incredibly frustrating and annoying to use on top of being very slow.

It actually works it does what I ask it to in a timely fashion and if it can’t it explains why. Love
I love my Genesis and my Genesis app. It truly makes things so much better being able to either heat up my car or cool it down before I get there. I also love that. It tells me if the window is open or doors are unlocked.
GV 80 User
The App is awesome, but you need to spend time learning it. I use the remote starter everyday. Good photos out of the app,
Locked out of my house
I left my car key and house keys inside my house and locked the door without thinking.
That's when I downloaded this app. Using the app, I was able to unlock my car and use my garage opener to get back into my house. So grateful. Thank you for this feature/app.

A few tweaks and could be great!!
For such a smart tech forward vehicle, the app could use an overhaul. It would be great if you could open / close windows through the app. It would also be great if you could receive alerts with images when motion is detected around the vehicle. The last major issue is the fact that the app signs you out after a few weeks requiring you to log back in with 2 factor authentication. This always seems to occur at the worst possible time.

Update issues
Ever since the update overnight a few weeks ago request says successful, but they aren’t especially cooling the car down it doesn’t start. Worked fine till then.

Ok App-Too many notifications
Revised review. Finally got things working. It is an ok app. Way too many notifications that I have to clear.
Great….but
4/5 for me and that’s only because the remote start feature isn’t even an option. I have the subscription to have that feature but why isn’t it even an option on the app? Is that a fluke or has it been removed? If it wasn’t for that it would be a 5/5.
Added iPhone location service turned on
In one of the recent releases Genesis added the requirement that to access the app I have my phone’s location services turned on. What difference does it make where my phone is if I want to used the app features? I could be doing something for another person driving my car. It is none of Genesis business where I am located.
I called their support number for another issue and mentioned that the location service requirement needs to be turned off.

At times when I walk up to the door it stays locked. It is very irritating.
Recent location services requirement
A recent update in the last couple months changed the app to require location services. There is no obvious reason for this requirement, and the release notes do not mention the change. This suggests it was either an error by the development team, or the location services are being used for data collection rather than legitimate purposes. In any case, I do not enable location services except when necessary, and it is too many steps to enable them just to remote start my car from the app. Therefore the app has become unusable for me in most scenarios.
