A ridiculous app that doesn't even deserve one star. Initially, payments were made within 3 business days, but now it takes 5 business days. It's been 10 business days for me and I still haven't received my money. I'm withdrawing all my money and will delete the app. I absolutely do not recommend using it. The decision is yours.

I have been with Glint for years (2021) best decision ever safe sound custody but as metals have gone up I use card for groceries and with growth my food is nearly free!!

I love the Glint app. Things that need to improve is the 3 day delay between selling you gold or silver and the funds arriving in your glint wallet. You should also be able to shift silver to gold and vice versa without having to convert to cash first.
Would be a fantastic feature if they added the ability to set buy and sell price points so you could buy and sell at set price points with money already in your glint cash balance
Also the fee for the purchases on top of the 1% charge is way too high! I do love the way they provide a debit card to spend your gold asset the same way you would fiat currency.
However it would be nice if there was a way to do the same with silver rather than just gold.
Also would be nice if they showed the percentage gain/loss on your precious metal purchases.

My sale is pending more than 24hrs. They say it’ll take 3 days to clear. This is advertised as a spot buy and sell. Then it takes another 3 days for money to be withdrawn to your account. Total SCAM!! sitting on our money without accountability.

Company is nothing but a fraud. They get all your personal info data,verify it THEN tell you oops it’s not good. Then they email you telling you your acct has been ceased and if you like you can start all over AGAIN…… I’m pretty sure they KEEP all your data and use it or sell it on the dark web or black market.

Ridiculous transfer withdraw and monthly vault fees. They charge “vault fees” every month, 0.9% sell fee, buy fee, currency conversion fees. Incremental gains from this are quickly canceled out by the service fees which don’t seem very justified or clearly stated in a non user agreement manner

I would give this app a half star if it was available. Once they have your money they deduct an amount of your metal every month. I feel this was a rip off and I feel taken advantage of. Besides that they have hidden fees. Don’t do it
Terrible experience
Glint uses a shady bank as a clearing intermediary. The act of linking my checking account blew up my online banking due to suspected fraudulent activity. Excessive waiting for funds and changes to account make this a frustrating experience. Now that I’m trying to get my money back they want screenshots of my bank statements and other info that makes me feel uncomfortable. It was super easy to give them money but not nearly as easy to get it back.

Liquid REAL asset access
I love how glint allows me to park my liquid funds in gold and silver. I would rather have it sitting here than in my checking account. It allows me to have exposure but benefit from the liquidity.

I don’t know why everyone isn’t using this app. It makes Gold easy to stack, with it safely custodied in a Swiss bank vault. It removes the risk of having physical gold in your home. It solves the issue of gold being an illiquid asset, by letting you have a debit card tied to your gold which you can freely spend.
