Very reliable app for Japan
As a foreign traveler, instagram recommended some apps for Japan, many failed to work. Go App is the most reliable app that we can depend on. Fast response, accurate routes, and relatively cheap ride. Better than taking connecting metros. Thank you Go!
Up charge for foreigners
Is it just because you can? You should hide it better than a foreigner fee.

Hidden fares
The app works well and finding a taxi is easy. However, I was surprised by the number of extra charges added to what should have been a simple taxi ride.
On a recent trip, my metered taxi fare was only ¥700, but I ended up paying ¥1,300:
* ¥700 meter fare
* ¥300 pickup fee
* ¥100 GO app fee
* ¥200 “International Service Charge” charged specifically because I was a short-term foreign visitor.
That’s almost double the metered fare.
While the international surcharge is explained in the Help section, it isn’t something many tourists would expect when booking a taxi. The combination of a booking fee, pickup fee, and tourist-specific surcharge makes the app significantly more expensive than simply hailing a taxi on the street or taking one from a taxi stand.
The app itself is reliable, but I believe pricing should be much more transparent before confirming a ride. As a visitor to Japan, I would recommend using GO only when necessary. Otherwise, hailing a taxi directly will often save you money.

A great, easy-to-use app. As an American, it would be nice to have an easy way to view or translate destinations from Japanese into English.

Absolute life saver
Completely alleviates and stress traveling in Naha city. The cab drivers are very polite, the vehicles are clean and kept comfortably cool and you arrive very quickly and safely.
Would recommend to anyone. Especially those traveling with small children.

Times to verify without my phone number (I have a Japanese SIM, therefore I can’t access SMS). I went through the process Several times and at the end, it tells me there’s something wrong with the picture of my face, without explaining what’s the problem. It is annoying to go through the complete process, including email verification and being told at the end, that there’s something wrong with my face.

Wonderful interface
Excellent method for navigating car rides in Japan. Love the two step process of checking the destination before submitting the ride. also makes payment super simple!
Charter price
I wish the app had clearly warned or shown the estimated final price before booking. This pricing system is very confusing for first-time users.
Getting around Japan
By far the easiest route. There was an hour taxi line on arrival to Kyoto. Go had a car there in 10 min, the size we needed. Why wait?

First time using this app in Japan (Tokyo).The weather has been rainy last couple days so being able to rely on taxi to get the family to our accommodation rather than train system was nice. You pay for the convenience, of course, but def worth it. Will def use again!
