Don’t waste your Time
I had a seriously disappointing experience with GoGet.
They emailed me saying I’d received a parking fine and that it would be re-nominated into my name. Two weeks later, I get another email saying they’re going to debit my account to pay the fine themselves.
When I called, I asked them to show me where in their terms and conditions they’re allowed to take money from my account for a fine that’s still under their name. They couldn’t. Instead, they told me to call the council — which makes no sense when the fine hasn’t even been transferred to me.
It’s clear they didn’t bother nominating the infringement properly. Rather than doing their job, they tried to take the easy route and charge me directly.
Then it gets worse.
Out of nowhere, I noticed a $49 charge from them. Turns out they had reactivated an old monthly membership — one I cancelled over a year ago. There had been no charges since cancellation, until this issue with the fine came up.
When I raised it, they claimed it was an “automatic renewal.” That doesn’t stack up — you can’t renew something that’s been inactive for over 12 months without notice.
I asked for a refund. Instead of resolving it properly, they went ahead and cancelled my account altogether without telling me.
At that point, it was obvious — I’d just been thrown into the “too hard” basket.
For the prices they charge, the level of service is unacceptable. Basic customer support shouldn’t be this difficult.
I’ve since moved on to alternatives like Flexicar and Popcar, which have been far more reliable.
Avoid GoGet — not worth the hassle.

Unreliable app + poor systems, then blamed at 3am
I’ve had a really disappointing experience with GoGet and it’s made me lose trust in the service.
First, I had major issues even accessing the vehicle (Nigel the Van). The app experience was confusing and I couldn’t clearly find an option to properly end the booking. Because of that, I did the responsible thing and CALLED SUPPORT to confirm everything was completed correctly before leaving. Your staff member literally confirmed everything was done on my end and that I could leave.
Then I receive a message at 3am saying the engine is still running and asking me to go back and turn it off. That is not okay. I specifically called to avoid exactly this, and I know the engine was OFF when I left — I checked it.
On top of that, my earlier booking (closer to me) was cancelled 3 minutes before the start time, forcing me to travel further just to access a van, and then I’m expected to travel back again to fix what appears to be a system/tracking issue. The whole point of a car share service is convenience — not getting blamed for your app/vehicle tracking problems.
Also: your booking system feels outdated and messy. It’s ridiculous that people can extend bookings while there are subsequent bookings scheduled. Add the premium pricing on top of that, and it’s hard to justify paying more than competitors when the basics don’t work.
GoGet seriously needs to modernise the app, improve vehicle tracking, and stop sending late-night messages expecting customers to fix system failures.

Response from developer
Sorry to hear about this - especially after you did the right thing and called our MS team to double check everything was finished before leaving. I'd really like to look into what happened here, including the engine alert, the booking cancellation, and the app experience. If you can, please email marketing@goget.com.au with your booking details (and any screenshots if you have them) so we can investigate properly and get to the bottom of what happened.
Customer Service is a Joke
I’ve applied with them FIVE times. Every single detail double-checked, everything correct, and still rejected. I called customer service, and all they could say was “submit another application, we can’t verify your license.” So I did. Again. And again. Same problem every time. When I finally asked to speak with a higher up or manager, they flat-out refused. First excuse: “The manager will just say the same.” Then: “The manager doesn’t wish to speak to you.”
It’s like talking to a recorded tape. No independent thinking, no accountability, no willingness to solve a simple issue. If they can’t handle something as basic as an application form, why should I trust them in a real emergency? I wanted to use GoGet because it’s the only carshare with pods near me, but after this pathetic experience, I’d rather go without.

Awful now
GoGet used to be a fantastic service. Now absolutely abysmal. Fuel cards that don’t work so you have to pay out of pocket and system to claim back is a labyrinth. Customer service all based overseas and can’t hear you half the time, rude when they can. System that randomly books wrong car or wrong am/pm. I have been a GoGet member for more than 10 years. Sadly deleting my account today. Absolutely woeful.

App doesn’t work
Won’t even get past the set up an account. Continue button won’t press…? I spent 15 minutes trying this. Would love to use the service. Can’t.
