1 star for promoting backyard breeders
Be cautious when using this app they promote backyard bred mutts like doodles and doodles and oh did I mention doodles? And you can’t block them unless you apply, withdraw, then block. No way I’m gonna give my private information to people who are terrible horrible people in the first place. This app needs MAJOR improvements if they are gonna allow backyard breeders to stay and promote their terrible mongrels.

Don’t make the mistake I did
Do yourself a favor and do not use this app unless you don’t mind paying over twice what the dog cost. I honestly feel. Raped by this app in regard to cost. Every transaction you make with the breeder. For example, your deposit, then the actual price for the dog. And then any transportation costs, you have to pay a processing fee.
Not once, but every time an invoice is generated. Not to mention you are charged two and from the location of what you’re having the dog shipped. In my case, by the time, everything was set and done. It cost me almost 2 times of what the price of the dog was. The app would not allow my breeder to make any changes to Invoices, for example, a changing logistics And also blocked my breeder from making any Suggestions which would save me money. Completely unacceptable business practices. In my opinion.

Just purchased corgi
I just purchased my new corgi from good dogs and had an excellent experience met with the breeder who was great and very knowledgeable about the breed I was purchasing . Angie was very nice and had all documents needed and had just given the puppy a bath.. she provided full instructions on care for the new puppy , Angie is an excellent breeder and her puppies have wonderful temperaments.. I would not hesitate to use good dogs again..

Extra Fees
This app was great for helping locate breeders etc. But I did not find its value worth the fees. Also, don’t assume all the approved breeders are raising papered puppies. I didn’t catch that until it was too late. By using this app there was almost $300 in fees plus taxes. Breeder must take payment through good dog if that’s how you first contact them. So look them up on instagram or Facebook to save a good chunk of change.

Outrageous fees
I found an amazing dog on here. HOWEVER, the fees from the app alone were close to $500 extra dollars. And it charged my card automatically when filling out the form without me confirming anything. I would recommend getting your dog from elsewhere.
Very frustrating experience with the reservation system.
I selected a specific puppy, applied for that puppy, discussed that puppy with the breeder, and even received confirmation emails showing that puppy’s profile and information.
During the process, the app suddenly switched the reservation to a completely different puppy without any clear warning or notification. I did not realize this had happened until after I had already gone through the deposit flow.
I later found out the original puppy had apparently already been reserved earlier that morning, even though the platform still showed the puppy as available when I started the process.
The breeder was polite and tried to help, so this does not seem intentional, but the platform experience itself was extremely confusing and emotionally frustrating. On top of that, the refund process may take several business days, leaving funds tied up after a failed reservation caused by what appears to be a serious synchronization or reservation-state issue.
I really hope Good Dog improves the reliability and clarity of its reservation system.

When I first downloaded the app, worked wonderful! The last few weeks, you can’t scroll looking through dogs??? It will only let you go so far and it repeats?!?
Fix your website and app
Terrible UI, can’t even browse all breeds in your local area. To have to select a breed. Who thought that was smart?
The worst working app I’ve ever used
I’m at a loss for words at this glitchy useless app. Search and filter function don’t work. I’m scrolling seeing the same breeder 20 times in a row then suddenly the screen starts acting weird. Yes my phone is up to date. It doesn’t actually filter when I select and certain size of dog. So if I search for miniature poodle it’s going to give me breeders that only breeder standards. When I go back to the filter all the filters have cleared without me clearing them. The app doesn’t seem to have the function to filter by people who have certain levels of testing. Don’t understand that. I can’t find the breeders I’ve followed, only the puppies or dogs I’ve hearted. So annoying. AND the website only allows me to sort by distance, can’t do that on the app. Deleting the app, not even going to bother linking any kind of card to this useless piece of coding, i’ll just use the AKC website list of breeders. Because this simply doesn’t make sense. It truly doesn’t. This app is almost as useless as Adopt a pet. If you’ve used that ridiculous website then you know how asinine it is. This app is like that.

PURCHASE WITH PEACE
I haven’t purchased a dog yet, but the way the app is set up I know that I will utilize this for my search and purchase. As someone who has never owned a pet, it gives me peace of mind to be able to search, see pictures, communicate safely and pay through a secured site. I am able to see reviews from others who utilize this app and I have not seen one bad review. I am excited and confident in moving forward! I will provide an update of a true/real time review after I start the process of buying my new puppies!
