Originally worked, but now is busted
I’ve been using this app and product for years. At some point in the last 2-3 years they have destroyed the reconciliation process. They indicated the implemented a feature some users wanted that is causing this. It took my hours and hours to finally figure out what the heck was going on with a bank I was using… DUE to the fact that GB screwed up the normal process for reconciliation and downloading “cleared” transactions. My bank was screwing customers by hiding deposits and refunds in statements and downloads. With proper reconciliation, which I finally had to do MANUALLY over 8 months of data to figure out where the errors were being injected.

Intuitive app but horrible delay in transactions
This app has been very helpful for me financially and is pretty easy to use once you figure out how to move money around. My only issue is that unlike apps such as YNAB, this app takes forever for transactions to show up on the app, when you look at the app you really just see the money you had 3 days ago. There needs to be an option for transactions to show up immediately instead of waiting for them to be completely cleared and then having to wait for plaid to update. Plaid also says they update automatically 1 to 4 times a day so I am confused as to why cleared transactions are taking over 24 hours to show up.

Glitches
I don’t even know what’s going on anymore. I created all new envelopes (no rollovers), set them to fill at the first of the month, and somehow none of the math is mathing. I have one envelope filled with $800. I had a total of $105 set as a recurring payment to withdraw from this envelope. I have -$105 in this envelope now. Did it just not bother to fill? Anyway this is pretty useless as a way to keep track of money if it doesn’t even track things properly.

No iPad Support
This app is old and near unusable if like me you use an iPad in the Magic Keyboard. This program looks like it may possibly have some cool features, but if they are too cumbersome to get to, do these features really matter?
Better for YNAB
I read the book, You Need A Budget, and then downloaded the app by the same org. Goodbudget is simpler and works better.
Finally Fixed!
The app being broken for 5 days almost had me go to another envelope app that’s actually FREE for me to use because I’m a coordinator for FPU.
This CAN NOT happen again!
You’ve GOT to test the app updates before you roll them out!
I’ve used this app for about 12-13 years now, and have always been happy with it up until this mess up.

App and desktop are not correctly syncing across multiple devices, please fix.
What is this?
Maddeningly complex app for no reason. I just want a tool that downloads transactions that I can categorize. This app ain’t it.
Keeps Spouses on the Same Page
I love this app and we have had it for several years, when it used to be called Easy Envelope Budget Assistant (EEBA). We did financial planning and budgeting classes early in our marriage and this app has allowed us to stay within our budget and communicating and recording our spending well. This has been such a support for our marriage and has saved us from many arguments!

dont know how this is a 5 star app
ashamed to say I wasted about an hour trying to make a budget. this application cant even do basic math. seems the math got worse when i added more envelopes. youre better off putting your budget in a note, I would never pay a monthly sub for this.
App Crashing and not saving envelopes
App keeps crashing when I try to input my debts with the “working to pay off” option and it isn’t saving my envelopes after pressing saved and I’ve just paid for Plus.
Updates needed
I have multiple accounts that won’t sync with the app for some reason (they sync with my other apps no problem). That makes this a bit tedious but still pretty good.
I also wish in the “annual budget” section that it would tell you when you have fully funded that budget for the year instead of only showing how much money you have left for the year. For instance, I don’t want to spend more than $2400 on gifts throughout the year but when I buy birthday gifts in Feb or March it only shows me the money left from what I’ve funded, but not how much more I need to fund. So it looks like I still need to add $2400 instead of the $2000 bc I spent $400.

No Bar Charts or Pie Charts 😕
Have loved this app and the charts but since the latest IOS update the charts don’t show up anymore. I checked and there has not been an update to this app since a month ago. Please fix this!
best budget app!
i’ve used this app for almost two years. it’s the perfect app for me to use for simple budget projection. i use the free version and it has everything i need! it’s easy to navigate and simple to use. i love it.
one suggestion— please fix the “due date” feature for “goal” envelopes, so that we can meet a goal for a single envelope more than once. sometimes i save the money for a particular category for a certain date, spend that money, and then want to save money for the same category again without having to delete the envelope history. but when doing this, it won’t tell me the amount to put in per pay period.

It is more complicated than it needs to be I’m not going to be on for something that is forcing me to budget weekly monthly bi monthly tri yearly
