Huge miss is still the inability to select certain flavors of a language, such as Spanish, and also not being able to set gender specifications makes this something I just rarely use
Got rid of the speech to text function
Replaced the speak to text function with the native mic in your keyboard. Newsflash, most people’s keyboards are in their native language and will not pick up the foreign language they want translated

Stop recording conversation after a two second pause. should be able to override that. And have it set if we choose for continuous recording the person speaking. Not a good app

With this it gives you perfect translation and now I can talk to my family! 👪

All I get is “I didn’t understand the audio”. I write to Google to get an answer and all I receive is a “thank you for your feedback” message.

Very very annoying camera translation feature. User interface is problematic to say the least.

Why would this require iOS & iPadOS 18? How long before it won’t work on 17?
Wrong Spelling
Examples: Colour vs color, specialise vs specialize, centre ve center etc etc. The language is not English but American. Very annoying that after so many years they are still getting it wrong.

I love learning Spanish, but…
I love learning this for Spanish languages, but it won’t let me know what kind of Spanish I wanna use, like for example, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin American), Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Chile), and Spanish (Argentina). It just randomly does it for me. I don’t understand this at all. So next time you do the update in the future, can you put like all the AI Spanish languages so I can know to learn the Spanish from all the states?

Ai made it worse
It used to be decent. Now it just gives unnatural ai sounding translations that doesn’t translate word for word your original input.

OVERPOWERED
This is the best translator to ever exist and NOTHING can change my mind. This app has been useful to me more times than I can count. If yall could add Navajo that would be excellent, but other than that, THE BEST EVER!!!!

Terrible after update
Inconvenient detect language. Only good if you are strictly translate onside and not the other way. Waste time with extra click when you want to translate your language to something else and it’s defaulting to detect language
