TERRIBLE PAY - Don’t waste your time
Bottom line is hourly pay for a driver is currently $10/hr in Chicago, and you work to pay for your own gas, no profit.
I have been a GoPuff driver since it started in Chicago. It was great in the beginning (as it was with most Gig jobs, they pay great and then they don’t) with their initial base pay, it was enough to pay for gas AND have a profit. Now base pays are as low as $1.50 for almost 20 minute trips and you never know if the trip has a tip. So you can end up driving 40 total minutes for $1.50. I think it’s completely unfair to the driver to not see if the order has a tip along with the base pay. Over the years it just seems like GoPuff has done a lot of research into how they can pay their drivers as little as possible, which, in my opinion, should be illegal. They rely too heavily on customers tipping their drivers but reality is, customers will not tip. Ultimately, I would appreciate it if GoPuff paid their drivers (the ones keeping the business alive btw), a livable wage and removed their shady practices that ultimately pay their drivers barely enough to even cover gas. AND OPEN THE BATHROOMS TO YOUR DRIVERS!!

This is more about the job than the app. I tried this for one day,
Worked 3 hours, ran 3 runs and made $27.14. One run took me 40 mins and they only considered it a 15 min run. Apparently they don’t look at traffic/construction etc. and when I cashed out they charged me a fee ($1.99) to get my own money. I was doing this to make some money on my downtimes, but It’s 100% not worth it.

Horrible no money to make
I’ve been working with this “delivery” service for 7 months now I work at a warehouse and do this on my days off or when I’m done work and I’ll tell you I did it for a month and realized they scam you by the second week in and only pay you 2.50$ per order and most people don’t even tip so you end up driving for 30 minutes for $2.50 smh I’ve done 30 hours on top of working at my real job and make about 150$ take gas away that’s about 65$ in the week it’s makes no sense and I have 400 deliveries and no issues reported and on time no issues these people are very greedy and won’t pay you barely anything this app sucks and not worth my time anymore.

Driver for go puff
I’m not sure why driver apps are so indecisive and/or ambivalent. I’d to start on a good note by giving the positive endorsement first and possibly only. 1. There are two Go Puff Facilities in Tucson available to me to to earn income. Both are relatively close to my residence. One only 5 minutes the other 25 minutes. Which in anybody’s standards is a very good commute time to either facility. I deliver when I turn the Go Puff app on. My preferential location is not as busy as the other one, I head to it. I’m in the parking lot of the delivery pick up location that had stated not as busy. Lo and behold the availability has switched and the other location reflects more availability and less wait time.
What gives here ? If you are only going to pay Pennie’s on the dollar to your drivers and expect them to rely on tips(especially when the economy is in the toilet thanks to that clown joe biden that has put us here, and now we are relying on a new clown who may be a successful(?) businessman(?) how can any of us survive in this country ?
If somebody with even a modicum of intelligence would read the review, the negatives outweigh the positive and my time and effort is already devalued , besides the danger involved by doing the job, it’s a shame that any of us are still in existence. The almighty needs to decimate/erase us from earth. Global extinction is the only answer.

$1.75 Base pay
The $1.75 base pay is crazy. They say it’s based off distance and time, but every order is the same and it goes to different sides of Atlanta that are not within the same distance so that cannot be right and then you have to rely on people to tip most cases they don’t so you basically just drove all the way around the damn town for $1.75 crazy part. Is there somebody these trips be having two different orders on two different sides of town?

$3 for delivery isn’t sufficient & not all customers tip. Customers aren’t obligated to tip & some don’t. You’re asking drivers to work for pennies. I just completed a 3 batch order, drove 10 miles & made $10. Shameful!

At this this it is getting ridiculous. Yall will have us drive 22 miles for 2.75 then have to drive all the way back and these orders are consistant and if we DECLINE the order then we get panalized! Yall need to show the customer tip amount AS we get the order so we are not COMPLETELY wasting gas and time!

Pays wishy washy
Sometimes you’ll work 8 hours and make good money , other times you’ll barely make your gas money back . Even at a 200 hot streak . It’s a good option to have but not first choice to work .
Great platform
I have not had many glitches with their system other than sometimes it thinks your too far away as the office at apt. complexes. Also directions once at apartments is terrible the only time I am ever late is a big apartment complex and it doesn’t tell u where the building is. And your on time percentage takes a hit. And if you have to bring an order back for any reason (they don’t answer etc) you get songs on your completed orders like I can control if they are home.
