Game changer
It’s really been the best device we could imagine. Our family has benefited immensely and can’t thank this incredible service from a great company!,
Amazing
Great for all ages I’m 27 and love it for me and my grandparents.
Unethical and exploitative billing after my father’s death
I purchased a GrandPad and annual plan for my father, who was struggling with advanced Parkinson’s and dementia and passed away in December 2025. I notified GrandPad in January 2026 of his death and my intent to cancel the service. Despite this, the company continued billing for two months until the account was formally closed in March, citing a policy requiring the device to be returned before prorating. At the time, we were out of state, grieving, handling funeral arrangements, and caring for three young children, so it understandably took time to locate the device.
Even though it was clear the device was no longer in use, GrandPad continued billing and refused to backdate the prorated refund to the date of notification. Saying “I’m sorry for your loss” while continuing to charge a deceased customer’s account is inconsistent, disingenuous, and adds unnecessary stress during an already devastating time. Even after they made an exception to allow the device to be returned, they still would not adjust the refund.
As a physician specializing in palliative and hospice care, I work closely with families navigating end-of-life situations and find this policy, and its rigid application, deeply disturbing. Families are already under immense stress, and a profit-first, inflexible approach like this adds unnecessary trauma.
The GrandPad device itself is functional, but the company’s handling of billing after a customer’s death is both unethical and exploitative, demonstrating a lack of humanity and empathy. I cannot recommend GrandPad and strongly caution families to carefully consider how the company treats customers during such vulnerable times. GrandPad urgently needs to rethink its approach to supporting families facing the loss of a loved one.

Only way we can communicate with our Mom
I finally feel there is a way to communicate with our hard of hearing mum in a care home! Three times a week or so, we ensure the long term caregivers set her up to scroll through latest photos, videos and emails we share with her. She often sends us a little audio or video back. Then we know how she is doing on a more frequent basis. Because of her new long term care situation and hearing and some cognition loss, we get to stay close to her when we could. it before. I even upload videos from her great grandkids who are not in her the list of authorized users.

Excellent
The grandpad has been a game changer for my family. My father had zero experience with anything technical and he loves it. It has allowed him to reconnect with family he hadn’t seen in a decade. He tells me about the articles he’s read. He leaves audio messages like a pro. The grandpad has opened up his world. I cannot recommend it enough. The customer service is top notch.
