Taking this down to one star
The plugs stopped working with Google Home about two years ago so you can no longer use voice commands to control the plugs. Google advises the issue lays with Green Dot and Green Dot doesn’t respond. I left a negative review on Amazon as well. Don’t buy their plugs as they don’t work and they don’t support them.

What’s going on?
For about 3-4 years everything worked great, now seemingly all of a sudden my link to my Google device no longer is able to control my Wi-Fi plugs and I have submitted numerous upon numerous tickets in the application requesting support and not hearing anything whatsoever back.
Have contacted Google about this issue and they are not able to do anything since they are not the ones who can support the hardware I’m trying to connect to Google Home.
I’m not sure what the problem is and I’m not understanding why I’m not getting a reply within the application under Support section.
The native application works fine and I’m still able to control the devices with my phone however I do not have the luxury of voice control any longer.
Upon trying to reconnect the device in the Google Home application it says “something went wrong try again” and it’s been like that for over a year now.
Are used to work fine, and now does not.
I am writing a review as a last resort to try and get support from the manufacturers. I would like to continue receiving all the features I have originally paid for, including voice control.

Helpful App
It’s working great for us. When we need to turn off the TV but our daughter doesn’t want to, we turn it off from this app. She thinks we have power outage 🤭
Absolutely wonderful product
I like how I can count down, switch items off when I am not in the area, and set a schedule for electronic devices.
Definitely a good choice...
I have had bought an other Wi-Fi only to find out it needed a hub. More cost,They worked OK for approximately two years then I received a notification that they were shutting down the site. So all of that money went out the window. After doing some research I settled on the Green Dot brand and I could not be happier. Easy to set up, easy to program, and no hub needed. The only thing I would warn against is that they only program using Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz
Otherwise I’m sure you’ll be happy with this product.
PS: I almost forgot one great feature that they offer is a related action. We have a refrigerator in our garage and believe it or not if it gets too cold it stops working. I have a space heater set up behind it and the Green Dot socket is programmed that if the temperature falls below say 33° it comes on until the temperature rises above 34°. You can set it at one degree increments. So if your still reading this, stop and go order yours today.
PSS: I currently have 18 sockets (Christmas season) working trouble free.
PSSS: I no longer have my wife complaining that the (dial type timers) aren’t timed up. 😃

Smart plug
They were abit hard to install. Instructions were not that clear. When I upgraded my internet service problems, I had no problems but when I upgraded my cell phone I had problems to install the green dot. Green dot indeed to be compatible with all internet services. I found out I no longer had 2.4 internet. I tried for hours to get green dot to work. I ended up calling my internet server. They had to change a setting on my service. Please make green dot compatible with 5gb

Helping Home
So handy not to have to find light switches, but seems to lose one of my lamps regularly, which is irritating.
Insecure app!!!
There is absolutely no reason for this app to need location turned on to work. This is an invasion of privacy and they are just collecting data for their own wants. Deleted app as it is none of their business where I live. Shame on them for spying.

Green Dot Smart Home
I have been using this app on my Iphone for about 2 months & love it. The set up is easy & the options all seem to work. I have it set up on a basement exhaust fan, a garage night light & the kitchen coffee pot. This app has saved me a lot of steps, not sure my heart doctor likes the idea. Thanks so much.

Can’t get it to work with my google home
Anytime I try to link to my google home it says that it can’t do that and that’s all it knows and that’s it. I don’t understand I’m so frustrated

Buy it, you'll be happy you did‼️ My wife would always tell me our old push pin timers were not synced up... I no longer have that issue. These "no hub required" WiFi timers are awesome I can't wait till Christmas so I can have everything timed perfectly together.
