Easy, Quick, Affordable
My mower died a couple summers ago. Found this app. I told them what I needed. Got sent quotes in the app. (The lawn crews have pictures of their work uploaded.) You accept one, text them directly if you have questions/instructions, and they come do the work. Best part: You don’t need to be there 🙌🏾They send a picture when they’ve finished and charge your card later that day. You can move dates around, add services, and leave tips all in the app. I’ve added this service to my “self care” list 🤣

Great to start…
Was super easy to start with, got bids from multiple lawn care providers to cut my yard and had someone out within a week of submitting my yard. I then experienced some technical difficulties on the app with paying my lawn care service. Contacted “customer support” which is just an AI respondent. No phone number to call, and no real person to chat with. Ended up having to delete my account and set up services with the provider directly. If you are in a bind and need someone quick, this is a decent solution. However, as soon as you have an issue, there is no customer support at all. I had to delete my account entirely to resolve the issue and I do not intend on ever using this application again. Use with caution!!!

Horrible service, unreliable operators, and broken app
Do not waste your time with GreenPal. I hired two different lawn care providers through this app. Both accepted the job and both literally texted me saying they were on their way. I stayed home and waited, only for both to ghost me and cancel last-minute without a word. Because of their unreliable operators, my grass grew completely overgrown, and now I have to pay extra "tall grass fees" to find someone else to fix it.
When I contacted customer support to complain about being flaked on twice, they gave me a canned response telling me they don't have enough providers in my area and literally told me to "go look on Craigslist." Absolute joke of a platform. They take zero responsibility for the bad providers they allow on their app.
To make matters worse, right after closing my support ticket, the app completely broke and throws a "Something's gone wrong" error screen, essentially locking me out. They don't protect the homeowner at all. Avoid this app at all costs.

Got matched up with “emerald cuts”, first mow went fine. Then they ignored my messages and never heard from them. 2nd appointment they send a picture from the first mow and try charging me, even though no one came out. I dispute it with green pal, sending pictures that no one but my yard, and that it’s the same photo from the first time. Now everything is frozen so I can’t find anyone new. Their “chat” is just ai/auto messages that tell me everything is frozen to contact emerald cuts. But they ignore me sooo? Just no more service. Save yourself the headache and don’t think about using this app.

Signed up and booked a pro easily, communicated via text, and then he was a two-time no show. Cancelled the appointment with him,
put in a new request — first bid that came in was from him again. At a higher price. Second bid was from a “different” pro — also obviously him, from the profile photo — at a slightly lower price. Ick. Deleted my account.

Good idea, bad implementation. The app freezes constantly, requiring you to close it & reopen; there are also certain screens within that provide you with no “Back Button”, requiring you to close the app & reopen.

Vendor showed up at my home after I canceled. Police were called.
GreenPal shares your home address with every vendor on their platform the moment you post a job — not just the one you hire. I canceled my job. A vendor showed up at my house anyway, began operating equipment without authorization, and had already unlatched my gate to access my backyard before I caught him. I had to run outside to stop him. Smyrna Police responded.
When I reported this to GreenPal, their response was: “GreenPal does not arbitrate disputes or negotiate issues between consumers and the lawn service providers they hire.”
They gave a stranger my address, he showed up uninvited at my home, and their official position is that’s not their problem.
FTC complaint filed. Georgia Consumer Protection complaint filed. BBB complaint filed.
Do not give this app your home address.

User beware. It’s fairly easy for anyone to log into strangers’ accounts and see their information. This app is buggy and shouldn’t be trusted.

Customer service is minimal and you will get very general copy and paste responses. The quality of people they allow on the app are horrible and not reliable. Will quote one number and then tell you they have to cancel or just don’t show up all together.
Actually the best
Literally the easiest time getting lawn service I’ve ever had. I put in my address for a quote and then someone showed up and mowed the lawn on time. I have used many different companies/contractors in the past and this was by far the smoothest and it’s not even close. I didn’t have to deal with searching for a company or calling a contractor that didn’t show up, I didn’t have to wait for them to stop by at some random time later to get a quote before service started, I didn’t have to deal with a secretary service answering the phone so they can have a contractor call me back who knows when, and I didn’t have to deal with paying in cash.
I just put in the address, the credit card, and done. And then once the cut was finished I scheduled more. If it keeps being this easy I’ll use it forever
