Never connects
The app neverrrrr connects to the lights. They are on at the wall and it wants to tell me they are off…. No they are literally not.

Spends half the time offline, won’t notify me of movement, even though settings are all on, they just randomly stopped a few weeks ago. It won’t “playback” just says that there has been nothing on this day or makes it go offline

I purchased two Arlec smart bulbs in February and when I installed the app to control them it worked fine. It was easy to navigate and set up the schedule for turning the lights on and off. When I went to use them again in April, the app had completely changed. It was full of advertisements for other products and I couldn’t find what settings I used previously to turn the schedule back on - the interface had completely changed, and the language was different. Scenes? What are they?? I needed a manual to understand the instructions, but I couldn’t find one. It shouldn’t be this hard!! In the end I tried setting up ‘scenes’ which implied actions based on criteria, but this didn’t work. Whoever changed the app did a terrible job. Why does Arlec want to make life harder for its customers?! One star, NOT an improvement.

Not working on 26.5.1
Upgraded to 26.5 and kept on crashing. Deleted app, the reinstalled and still crashing. I am using it on M1 Mac. Was adquate prior to updated
LED Light Strip
Our display cabinet has got so many comments. More people are interested in the display cabinet then what I have on display. App is easy to use and switch up the light settings and highly recommend
Rubbish app
I bought a DL026HA (fingerprint door knob) from Bunnings. I got stuck on adding fingerprints because the app is very unintuitive in terms of what I’m supposed to do next. I tried all sorts of things and all that happened is some motor noise from the lock about every 30 seconds or so and some timeout errors from the app. The whole app is very unpolished, so the fingerprint issue is just one of many rough edges which, unfortunately, means I can’t use the door knob except with a key. You should be ashamed of yourselves for publishing such garbage.

Need some enhancements
I’m using arlec heater, basic functions works, but recommended to remove some restrictions and enhance the features. When I set temperature to 20, the actual temperature is 24 in the room, while I want to set actual temperature to 14(actual temperature 18)for sleeping, the App only allows the lowest wit 16, so suggest you remove the restriction. While you can set turn on/off time, I can’t set temperature for the period, an enhancement is needed.

Rubbish
If I could give this app negative ratings I would. The app is a disaster when trying to pair devices. Extremely frustrating. No way of finding devices quickly alphabetical order as an option would be helpful. Devices themselves randomly drop off wifi even when they are on the same wall as the AP ! Replaced 3 bulkhead lights because of complete failure. Wifi device does not work anymore and can’t join wifi. Bad mistake buying this stuff. Dont waste your money.

Crashes on open
Although the website displays a picture of the app in full screen on the computer, it doesn’t open at all on the Mac. Users reviewed this issue two years ago, and it remains unresolved. Where is Arlec’s commitment to its customers?

Absolutely confusing and error prone. I wish I had gone down a different track to set up my smart systems. All advertising and little substance. Very disappointed but I’ve bought a dozen devices. I may have to cut my losses and start again with different products.
Remote updated light firmware without my consent, now only sync to this app.
I installed 8 identical RGB downlights a few years ago. They could connect to the standard Tuya app and integrate into my Home Assistant server happily.
One day earlier this year they stopped talking. Since then I can only connect them to this app. Even worse, the link to Tuya is locked down to the extent that I can’t access them via Tuya in Home Assistant.
This app is a version of the white-labelled Tuya app and has features deliberately disabled to stop you accessing their devices from the standard Tuya environment.
It was not like this at point of purchase and now I’m having to replace otherwise perfectly functional lights. No more Arlec products for me.

App updated bricked my doorbell camera
This app updated to this current 2.0.3 version and it has bricked my previously and perfectly working dc55ha doorbell camera. Now it wont pair and is utterly useless. Wont buy again - cant trust this product line. Time for a Ring

Doesn't work
Adding devices requires every permission you can imagine, but still doesn't work because the app doesn't let you choose which wifi network to join (and my light bar can't use the one it picks). Tapping the icon that seems likely just takes you to a settings page, where everything is already enabled. If you can't add devices the app has no purpose because you can't do anything!

Do not waste your time.
Good but needs improvements
Good app. But would be amazing if you could type the time in as well, instead of having to scroll from the start of the day. Also there’s a bug when you select “tap to view” it doesn’t take you to that exact time of the movement, instead it takes you to the start of the day. Please fix! Thanks
Tricky to get working
Eventually got it set up. Seems to work much better in AP mode.
Lack of support
Been using for some time and still no support to move onto computer , would NOT recommend until support is update . We need the ability to to export usage data from app to pc for meter data
