Analysis needs to be realistic
Despite having my thermostat set to 80 degrees during grid events, my overall performance came in at zero percent. I was even more conservative than previous years. It seems that the algorithms have been adjusted and now unless I completely turn off my AC I don’t get any credit for taking reasonable measures. I did pre-cooling, shut off other devices, did now run stove, dishwasher, etc

Not worth it
Even when you’re not home you don’t hit 100% of your goal so it’s a lot of effort for very little financial reward
I thought this was worth my time and sacrifice
I set this up to be a responsible person! However my efforts seem to be for b nothing! On two events I followed all the rules and came up short! I am a frugal person and I participated in all the grid alerts and received the message that I did not meet my goal. No AC for 4 of the hottest days in 2026 summer and no lights and lowest number on fridge and I did not meet the goal HorseHockey! I will protest.

The app lost the link to my electricity account so I can’t participate.
Accuracy
I’ve been using this app in accordance with keeping my electric bill low and thought this would help. This says I would pay around $73 for the month but when I got my bill it was much higher. Yea if it can’t give accurate readings then why bother? Also events are only summer…my electric bill is always cheap in the summer so let’s include the winter people!

Nearly a scam
Customer service doesn’t respond to inquiries for weeks; event performance data is delayed by weeks and makes it impossible to have any feedback by which to modify energy usage; graphs are buggy and inaccurate; badges are inaccurate; no transparency around earnings information.
It’s always 0% of the goal
I don’t even at home and nothing is running. Every event I checked had 0% of the goal archived.
Doesn’t work
App says it incentivizes and rewards you for saving energy; even not being home for several of the events it tells me I saved 0%. Waste of phone space and battery even writing this review

Consistent emails and no rewards if I don’t promote.

It didn’t work
Is this app/website still working? It said I already signed up the account, but I couldn’t login. I tried to reset password, but no link was sent to me. I tried to email them to get support, nobody replied to my email.
Unfair payment
I started grid rewards about two years ago the first year I participated in two and was paid $58 and some change this year I participated in five with 100% and got $18 so I don’t know if this was a mistake but no one has answered me about how I participated in five and with 100% completion and got $18 so I’m gonna say I gave them a two and I got no response so far with my complaint.

Every little bit helps
Glad I can do my part to help conserve energy during peak hours. If everyone could try to do a little something, maybe we could avoid blackouts.
Unsure
I dunno how I feel about this app. I’ve had it for a few months and haven’t saved any money on my bill. Nor do I think it accurately reports my useage, specifically it never seems to match my monthly electric bill or does a decent comparison to the previous month. I must be missing something :(
Events Not Working
After the last update, the Events section didn’t work. When I would click on it, it automatically quits. I tried to report the issue, but the website didn’t work either. Please fix? Thanks!

Scammy
Have never actually gotten the money back I’m supposed to. The first year the electronic transfer didn’t work. This year they sent a pdf check. My bank (Chase) wouldn’t accept it through the app or in person. They also put all kinds of restrictions on the check to make it harder to cash.
Grid Rewards provides helpful advice
As a person concerned with the climate crisis, I like having access to the content of electricity sources each hour of the day. I especially appreciate a quick overview of how much is from renewable resources.

This was my first time using this app. It’s said my reward is $58.89 that was paid, I have not received that money and when ask the support team they tell me they still processing. The event end in September and you will be paid at the end of the year. I am confused. It’s said that you can be paid by PayPal but when you click on that nothing happens.
