Remove “Stop” button from the top right of the screen. And give drivers more time.

Dear GrubHub team or to whomever it may concern, please remove “Stop” button from the top right of the screen. It accidentally gets tapped on all the time and after changing it back on, drivers can’t get orders for hours!

This change nobody asked for and was unnecessary.

Make a prompt confirmation “Do you really want to stop taking orders now?” or make an option to lock it so it won’t get accidentally selected while handling the phone and food bags in one hand. Or change it to how it always was – a separate window.

In addition, dear GrubHub CEO Howard Migdal and GrubHub team or to whomever it may concern, please allow drivers more time to reach restaurants and their diners/customers.

Due to traffic, poor road conditions, constant road closures and especially 15-min-city road diet in Los Angeles, it’s usually impossible to make it on time to neither a restaurant nor a customer. Moreover, many restaurants are slow and/or busy. Allow drivers to have more time for the road to NOT LOSE OUR HARD-EARNED RATING.

Many drivers in Los Angeles and other congested cities would very much appreciate it!

Love it

Driving fee a bit low tho 😩

Terrible

This evil app banned me for “fraud” even when no fraud happened

Disappointed

This is a review of the app coming from a driver who has been on with them now for over five years.

The app has suffered such a massive decline. When I started with them, the base pay minimum was $7. Now, it’s $2.

They also used to never have ratings, now they do.

I think one area where it is declined as badly as the pay is the wait times. The customer will submit their order and literally one minute later they are kicking the offer to the driver. So when you show up to pick up the order, the restaurant hasn’t even started making the food yet. That’s why you’re experiencing 20 to 30 minute wait times at pick up. There’s no reason for it. Doordash wait times are way less. I would say 90% of my pick ups on GrubHub have significant wait times. Meaning more than five minutes.

There is a pro to using this app. When it comes to the pay you see in the office screen, there’s no crazy games. What you see is what you’re going to get when the delivery is completed. GrubHub does not hide tips like DoorDash and uber do.

Every market is different, but I can tell you in my market. It is very busy in terms of delivery overall on apps like DoorDash, Uber, Instacart. But GrubHub has always known to be a slow app. It is common to go hours and hours without any sort of an offer. It’s even common for me to go an entire week without doing one delivery.

This app has always been a filler app for me. I have never done more than $2k in one calendar year. In 2026, I find myself working on the app less and less because the pay is so bad and the wait times are so significant. Usually, I will only take an offer from them only if it pays well meaning $10-$12 or more. Which is few and far between.my market overall is just slower for Grubhub. Doordash and Uber dominate food delivery.

one area of gig work that I feel that GrubHub has missed the boat on is with shop and deliver orders. Very rare to get them at all on GrubHub. Way more common on Uber and they are constantly available on DoorDash.

Lastly, one of the bigger reasons that I don’t do nearly as much work on GrubHub anymore is because I just don’t find GrubHub to be very ethical. They will intentionally send you to restaurants way too premature knowing the food isn’t going to be ready and you will sit there and wait for a long period of time, but they in turn won’t pay you any additional money for waiting for 25 minutes on a pickup. Also, when they run a promotional bonus for giving extra money per delivery, you have to have the delivery completed by the time the promotional period expires. So if it expires at 8:30 PM, and you accepted the order at 8:13 PM and the restaurant took forever to give you the order and you didn’t get the order delivered until 832, well, GrubHub is not going to give you the promotional pay whereas DoorDash would.

They really are not any than all the other gig companies out there. They look at you as an expense rather than an asset and they will rarely ever do the right thing by their drivers.

Long-winded, but this is just my take with working on their platform

Best App for Drivers

I’ve been using uber until I got approved for grub hub. This driver app is by far such a better platform for drivers!!

Unreliable, irrational, exploitative

Not even gonna be long winded, if you’re driving to make extra money. Don’t even waste your time. You’re not gonna be paid fair. Also be prepared to be sent offers to restaurants that you are driving the complete and total opposite direction of in rush hour traffic. That’s always fun.

They scam drivers

Be careful! Drivers are treated like they are less than human

Make it make sense

Why are you offering orders that are ten minutes or more away for less than ten dollars? Orders coming in from Decatur and I’m in Buckhead. The late time is unreasonable. I picked up an order that was 12 minutes away and the ETA was 12:10. It would be for someone right there. The orders should be one area I’m in. Now making me travel to another county. It makes it hard to just ride because I’m wasting gas.

Buena

Muy buena aplicación

It just keeps getting worse

How do you keep low balling the deliveries? The last few weeks there’s been so many 2, 3, 4 and 5 dollar offers. How are we supposed to make money? You can’t change this with the price of gas?

Why taking more money

Stealing money back for money earned is wrong . It cost to much to run a vehicle and maintain it.

Trash app

You’ll work for free, I’ve been waiting 7 days for my cash out and all support does is say get paperwork and wait 3 more days

Best way to earn

Grub hub driving really pays! They keep you busy and it’s so safe and easy to earn money!

Can’t sign up

It’s extremely tedious to sign up. They have a really difficult time scanning drivers license or any document it shouldn’t be a headache to sign up for an app that gets 8% of the market.
