This version works and it's a great simple app. It does not try to be fancy like some other newspaper apps that get in the way of your experience. It's a good simple app that gets the job done. My favorite newspaper app.

No Content
The app no longer crashes but now there's no content. This app hasn't work properly for months, very annoying.

App Constantly Crashes
Brutal app....crashes, or opens dataless most of the time.
The worst
This is the worst app I've ever downloaded. It constantly crashes (I don't have an outdated phone), and I regularly have to delete it and redownload. I like the Merc, but this app needs some serious upgrading.
Awful
I love this app...when it works, which unfortunately is rarely. Either will not load at all or crashes constantly. Sad as I love the content but so frustrating that I finally just deleted it. :(
Broken
Continues to crash (weeks now) before it opens returns to home screen with app running in background which is unusable. Mobile website isn't much better sadly. Unfortunate for the staff writers of The Guelph Mercury.
Great news, app constantly crashes
At least 20% of the time I go to open this app, it crashes. Even 5-6 restarts doesn't force the app to open, and I have to wait until the next day and hope the offending error has been fixed or the offending story has been pushed off the front page.

What's with the new subscription required with no warning. Free headlines is good enough for me. Other apps have subscription free news.
Money grab on latest update
Latest update requires you to have a paid subscription to read articles. When it was free (add supported), I used it... But to pay for add supported Merc articles on my phone... Nice try.
