Some bright spark at GT decided to make a algorithm change for the worst
Example: search Channel Islands surfboards and now you get everything but, wetsuits swim fins, foil boarding equipment etc etc.
Plus other board manufacturers, where as before you’d look up say FireWire surfboards and what was up for sale would pop up. But now they GT blend in all this other non-related junk
Why try and improve something that isn’t broken

Phone overheats when only using this app
My phone overheats every time I use this app and glitches. The same thing happens to my partners phone as well.
Good service & quick response.
Gumtree has always been our go to service for advertising anything on this platform. It’s well organised & if you are willing to pay a small amount extra, you get the best results always. But even if you use the free advertising, they will always look after you. I have been using Gumtree for several years now & never have had any problems.

Great App
Never Fails me Good old Gumtree, one thing I do love about Gumtree is they spot out scams straight away and one thing I love about Gumtree is they keep a track on everything? Everything from all the conversations if you’re getting scammed they waste no time they make sure that you’re not getting scammed whatever you’re on here for,selling or whatever you’re buying is legit, as soon as they spot a scammer they give you a heads up and they will actually block the scammer from ever contacting you again and they even blocked your emails from the scammers. It’s just amazing and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend Gumtree it’s never failed me once , Thanks Gumtree Workers ur doing an amazing job keeping us safe,🌸💕🫰🏽🙏🤗

Gumtree now Charging
Thank you so much for now charging to use your old a clunky website/app. You have so many ads generating that it constantly freezes while trying to use the app, no good, Highly DONT recommend !
Hopeless
Terrible app…constantly glitching during searches erasing any progress…I have deleted and reinstalled on many occasions…if not repaired soon I have no alternative other than erasing permanently
Why?
What used to be my favourite app for finding just about anything is sadly, badly broken. I keep coming back to it hoping it will work, but…no improvements. Searching is incredibly frustrating. Basic scrolling is nearly impossible. Hangs and crashes are regular occurrences, as is overheating. What is the matter with you guys? Ad revenue is understandable but surely not at the expense of your customers? Please fix it!! Hoping beyond hope you will get your act together or it’s FB marketplace for me.

Unstable & Unusable
Feels like it’s a big candy crush ad with an occasional listing.
Ads make my phone unstable & after scrolling for 30+ listings I have to close it. Phone and app are updated.
Search engine is terrible, it brings up completely irrelevant listings.
Gumtree used to be great, now unusable and irrelevant.
Unfortunately FB marketplace is the only option 😞
Please fix it.

Filters don’t work properly
Refinements/filters don’t work properly on iPad. Amazingly, the searches that I saved on my iPad work correctly on my android phone when I sign in, but odometer and year of manufacture filters get ignored by my iPad.
Gumtree is dead
Paid to put an ad on Gumtree. Took a week to get a scammy response
Great for avoiding landfill
I love to put everything that we can’t use anymore on Gumtree. Even if it’s for free, I don’t mind because the item finds a new home instead of heading to landfill.
I have rehomed plants, electrical items, beds, vanities…
It makes me so happy to think that someone else will get the use and joy from this product or item that I no longer have a use for and that I might be helping others.

Very nice app
Perfect and simple
Used to be able to scroll
I just try and scroll through items and video ads flicker and send me back to the top of the list over and over. I give up.
Makes my iPhone 16 pro overheat and freeze
I don’t know what’s wrong with this app but scrolling for a few minutes on gumtree makes my iPhone 16 pro get very very hot and laggy. No other apps do this. It must be extremely poorly optimised. I have tried updating and even deleting and re downloading but still the same issue.
You are not competing Market
You suppose to allow people to advertise so more subscribers can join gumtree otherwise near future you are done

Bombarded with ads and new items
This app has become unusable. It was great as a buy and sell between your neighbours but now it’s just filled with advertisements and actual shops listing their products. But like eBay did. Off to Facebook marketplace for me. Had a good run Gumtree but I’m done now. Just wasting space.
