Wish I had known how nonexistent the app and customer support is for Road Angel before I had bought two for my family. The app crashes anytime you want to use it so is effectively pointless. Buy another model, I will next time
The DEVs on this need a P45
Appalling interface in this app compared to the version supporting Halo Go cameras. Crashes when you try to view stored footage, very slow and clunky.
So Easy My Child Can Use It!
Seriously the best dashcam and app I’ve ever used, I’ve had them all over the years. Nexbase never connected and thinkware is far too complicated, blackvue was a total waste of time! Road Angel Wins Hands Down!
Needs work
App functions but is clunky ui isn’t as slick as it should be when connecting the dash cam and trying to retrieve footage, live view doesn’t always load, doesn’t always connect to dash cams WiFi, sometimes even when you are connected to dash cams WiFi in your phone settings the app is still responding like your not. It functions that’s about it, needs work to make connecting your phone and retrieving data/adjusting settings easier and more fluid, I don’t wanna keep having to disconnect and reconnect to the dash cam WiFi until the app finally wakes up and responds… some more updates needed to get this app abit more efficient

Use this app not the other one
Errr spent an hour today using the other road angel app but just wasn’t connecting. Luckily found via a forum that this app is the correct one and tbf it did get it work and I could set it up. Its very slow and doesn’t keep you logged in so you constantly so you have to faff with the built in wifi in order to see your footage and photos after driving constantly. What I don’t understand is how this company justifies selling their products for hundreds of pounds and even extortionate subscription fees and they can’t even build a stable app. A dash cam should just be plugged in and connects straight to your device when logged in. It works for so many other things. Mind boggling that they’re still using this dated app…

Don’t get a halo
Absolutely ridiculous app for such an expensive dash cam! How can you sell cameras that are very expensive to buy and then expect us to play back on such cheap, ridiculous apps.
I wish I never got on! The camera itself is great BUT the app is like it’s been thrown together in 5 minutes and had about a tenner allocated to make it! I have a dash cam that records videos BUT no way to play them back or look at them. Because guess what yet ANOTHER problem with halo playback app! Saying ‘video playback not successful’ it’s a joke! DO NOT BUT A HALO DASH CAM! Waste of money and time!

not compatible
The app will allow you to join the Halo camera Wi-Fi, great! Then states there is no camera added! Glitch! Tried it on 3 of our family iPhones, an 8, 11 and 14 with zero compatibility apart from the Wifi link. Do not buy a Road Angel Camera if you have an iPhone and to cap it all off, the developer of this App does not track reviews!! So good luck, it will never be updated to work

Compatibility Issues
The dashcam wifi will not connect with Apple iphone (so the app doesn’t work!) despite multiple attempts to speak to technical support they have not offered a solution - I would avoid and go for a different brand

Absolute rubbish
This app is appalling! Witnessed an accident today, by time I pulled over I was scrolling for ever to find video. Then tapped it to open (what a joke) can’t exit the screen so you can’t playback to locate correct recording. Disconnect the app, then start again scrolling. Downloaded five recordings in the one of them were correct. Rubbish would give it zero if it allowed

The app is truly useless. Whenever I try and watch footage, the app just crashes or says “video playback unavailable” - isn’t that your sole purpose?!?

Too bad to be true
The app is so unbelievably bad and the endless connectivity issues are so frustrating I’m returning the dash cam tomorrow for a refund. I actually like the look and the size of the camera which is a shame.

Downloading footage feels like downloading gta 6. User interface is trash laggy and slow. Great dash cam but horrible app.
Doesn’t connect
As stated, it doesn’t connect.
Force password change and now won’t connect at all
Was working fine come to download a video and open the app and if forces me to change the password for Wi-Fi and now won’t connect with new or old password.
Terrible App for this expensive cam😤
