Getting better

I took a chance on the Harambe System in 2023, and it’s been one of the best investments I’ve made in years. It helped me get back into shape and, more importantly, maintain that progress over the long term. The app was a great companion from the start, but in 2026 it’s better than ever more informative, more polished, and far more useful for tracking progress and staying consistent.

Don’t keep their commitments

Review: They Don’t Keep Their Commitments – Data Lost and Service Canceled
This company does not stand by its word or its contracts. I had an active, paid yearly subscription valid until January 2027, but with zero warning, they deleted the app I was using and replaced it with a new version that stripped away everything I paid for.
Because of this unannounced "upgrade," I have lost months of workout data and no longer have access to my training programs. I’m now stuck trying to figure out which exercises I was supposed to be doing and where I left off in my progress.
Despite their public announcements promising a "seamless transition" with "nothing to re-buy" and "grandfathered" rates, they refused to honor my existing subscription. The new app is technically free to download, but it is an empty shell; to get back the functionality and programs I already paid for, they are demanding a new subscription fee of $199/year.
When I confronted them, they admitted their announcement was "misleading" but still refused to restore my access. Instead, they offered to "refund" me via PayPal or Zelle because they won’t even use official App Store channels to fix their own mistake.
Do not trust this company's "locked-in" promises. They will change the terms, hike the price, and wipe out your data whenever it suits them. Total bait-and-switch.

Expensive

Had this for a while, and stopped for a month and went on vacation. Came back eager to start, but now the app is updated and my old information cannot be found. Also, now we have to pay a lot more monthly/annually on top of the cost that we paid for the system. Expensive

Used to be simple and good. Now is AI slop.

I had purchased the yearly pro plan and used the app weekly. Now the app has been updated and the Pro plan I purchased is no longer valid. But I can’t get a refund from Apple at this point. Now instead of 20 dollars a year the price has increased 10x to 200 dollars, and my subscription is no longer valid. I’m told that they can put the 20 dollars toward the new subscription, so I’d still only have to pay a measly 180 dollars! Terrible customer service and support. Bait and switch. Plus I lost all my customized workouts and history with no warning.

Best at home workout I’ve found.

Updated: Cyberplate takes this to another level. The app continues to improve over time. The Harambe K Bar complete system, along with the Harambe Fit app, have truly been a game changer in my workouts. I bought it when looking at 125lb ajustable dumbbells, and you get way more bang for your buck with this system. The app is great for tracking everything, and you can’t beat it for $20 a year!!! Thanks Khalid & the Harambe team for all you do!!! If you’re not a member of the Harambe FB community you should check it out too. This company has truly changed my life.

Trash- Latest Update Renders This App Useless

Since the last update I can’t use this app at all unless I’ve just turned my phone off and back on and there are no other apps in use at all.
Then if I get a text, or a call the app crashes.
Hopefully they fix this for the next update, and soon

Great guidance to go with system

App owner does great updating the app with workout plans to fit all levels.

Handy

Nice. Few bugs — when I add a comment to a rep the keyboard comes up and I can’t get it to go back down so the ā€œdoneā€ button appears again. Otherwise this is less annoying to use than excel. I wish it was just a one time purchase though. 20/lifetime feels fair for how small the app is.

Get huge

Great app and killer band system. Getting huge! Love this - using for almost a year, lots of alternate workouts!!

Great equipment, laggy barebones app

Harambe Fit is my go-to for planning and logging workouts…but only because it’s the one thing compatible with Harambe equipment. The app is very basic, which i get for a startup, but it’s also laggy. Everything takes longer than it should because the app lags. Between sets, between edits to plans, everything. Sometimes throws off my time between sets

Trash- Impossible to Alter Workouts Once Created

Firstly they limit how many bands you can create (19) then they’ll say you hit your limit after only 15 bands
Then they make you create the most rigid programs. So if you want to do left leg first one day and right the next you have to create an entirely different workout day, all exercises included, and make that day.
Also, don’t try to skip a day on Tuesday for an injury/extra rest and go back the next day because once you skip, it’s skipped so now your program is the wrong number of days for your plan

Khalid also won’t let you make a program if it is similar to a different company because he doesn’t actually care about fitness he only cares about his pockets

System is awesome app not so much

Love the system, the app is bare bones and incomplete. Even at $20 a year it doesn’t feel like a good deal. In its current state it should be free. Basically a workout tracker with a few pre programmed plans you could probably find online elsewhere.

Has potential but definitely a work in progress.

Best home gym system/training program out there

if you are looking for an affordable, convenient and practical at home training system that not only feels like going to the gym but also inspires you to get back into the workout plane daily the Harambe System and App program is it!

I wish the app tracked progress better.

You can see summaries of individual past work outs, but there’s no way to observe trends between work outs (Apparently this will be corrected in an future update). The best feature of the app is perhaps the options of programs available for the band system. Unfortunately, customizing your own program is not very user friendly.

Great app, great system

Just started using the app and Harambe, but they’re both excellent. The app brings out the best in programming and use of the system, and it’s simple to get good results. Simple, not easy! Still gotta do the work

Decent, but expensive. UPDATED

Update:
App is still pretty basic, but has improved and doesn’t need to be overly complicated. The creator listened to concerns about price and it is much more reasonable now. Harambe System has a good community and does listen to feedback. Wanted to come back and upgrade my review.

Old Review:
The app is pretty well done, but it is expensive for what is mostly a straightforward fitness tracker. There is definitely no need for it to be a subscription for such lightweight user data. If cost doesn’t matter to you, go for it. Otherwise, it’s definitely not necessary for your Harambe/resistance band workouts.

Harambe is awesome!!!

Great variable resistance training system. Love this this!

Excellent Harambe System Companion App

Updating my previous review since pricing has been changed (lowered).

Anyone who is using Harambe System and wishes to track their workouts digitally, this app is the solution. I’ve used so many workout tracker apps and none of them are built for band tracking, it’s always a compromise of entering in weights that correspond to the bands you use, but aren’t totally accurate. This app allows for that specific band tracking, but also works with tracking weighted exercises as well.

The app has a bit of a learning curve in setting up all of your workouts and equipment if you wish to customize it, but there is a quick tutorial video linked in the app that will guide you through how to do it. It’s only a few minutes long and definitely worth watching. I’ve actually enjoyed tweaking everything in the app and spending time to personalize it for myself.

Prior to this app being released I used the workout booklets you could purchase in the HS store. Those were nice and you could select which program you wanted to do (PPL or Harambro). Now with the app I have all of the programs made by Harambe System, as well as the ones shared by users like Chris Juede. IMO, the value of this alone is worth more than the annual app fee.

Also, for iPad users (I am one of them) the app for iPad works fantastic. I like to track my workouts on an iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and the app spans the entire screen as well as syncing across devices (iPhone and iPad). This was a nice touch as several other workout apps I’ve used compromise the iPad experience in so many ways.

I’ve been a Harambe System user since 2021 and have seen several products evolve as the founder/creator takes customer feedback and his own user experiences to innovate and improve products. I’m hopeful that this app will be another example of that and we will continue to see quality of life improvements as well as innovative solutions to workout tracking digitally.

Poor response from support.

This app as a concept and design Is great. It stores all your workout with the details needed and seamlessly progresses through each move and to each day in your chosen routine and shows you what you did the previous workout of that kind. It makes thinking not necessary and helps you get through workouts with minimal mental effort if you prefer which is great for my early mornings. I personally think the price is too high but likely would have tried it for a few months to decide if it was ultimately worth it to me. I hit a bug in one of the routines where I could no longer advance to the next workout day. I sent three separate emails to customer support and received zero responses. That was enough for me to uninstall the app. 9.99 is a premium monthly price. Which comes with premium expectations. If there had been a response I would have accepted that this is a new app and glitches will be found.
