Bad UI

Good content, but for a paid app the UI is not good. Filtering is bad, customizing is bad, saving exercises sends them nowhere. Big yikes. Needs work.

Response from developer

Hey, could you let me know where you’re seeing issues? Where are you saving exercises that go nowhere? What part of the filtering doesn’t work for you? Appreciate it!

Bands workout rock

It’s a nice app the exercises are solid the main issue is the bands and entering them and how it keeps track of it

Response from developer

Can you expand on this? You may have a configured option that could be confusing. I'd love to help; feel free to reach out via email in the app.

No Workouts Without A Trial

Unless there was something I couldn’t figure out, you won’t be able to do ONE SINGLE WORKOUT without signing up for a trial. Which will auto-renew after 7 days according to their terms.

This wasn’t clear to me, again, unless I just can’t read, until I was about to start my workout after (🤯) the app sent me a reminder. Weird that it doesn’t gate setting the workout REMINDER behind the paywall, but it does gate your first workout behind that paywall.

Very irritated. It felt very scummy to not find out about the trial requirement until after putting sex, age, weight, height, physical fitness level, goals, workout equipment, etc in.

Use the free Habit Builder workout. It’s free. Add a workout and go to plans. It’s there - it’s totally free. All the data is local. There was no email needed to use the app. I’m not collecting any of your data, it’s just used to power the algorithms.

Great place to start. Just one request…

We really like this app. I like that it provides suggested workouts, options for replacement exercises, and video guides for each exercise. There’s no family sharing so my husband and I each bought it so we could use it when we exercise together. I just wish we could sync the workouts between our phones so we’re both on the same program (without manually entering them each time) because the workout it “chooses” for me is different than on his app even with all of the same settings, so he’s not really using his app at all. We would just like to be on the same program. I’ve started putting the bands he uses in the “Notes” section of my app. We also spent A LOT of time inputting the bands that we’re using. That could probably be improved as well…otherwise - great app!

Amazing that you work out together! This is a use case I have not considered. One option may be to use custom workouts. Those never change. I could also build a share workout feature that lets you scan a QR code. Let me know your thoughts. Happy you like the app!

Fantastic tool for tracking workouts!

My strength workouts are exclusively it bands and I absolutely love all the tools and functionality of this app. They’ve thought of everything and it’s very easier to ensure that you are continually challenging yourself. Well done!
