What's New in Rubber Bands

3.16

October 28, 2026

- Reps per side now follow your setup. When your bands make an exercise one-sided, like Tricep Extension with a loop band alone, reps show per side and the exercise guide says so. Seated Hip Abduction, with the loop around both knees, shows plain reps. - Fixed: the first change to a resumed workout, such as adding, replacing or removing an exercise, could be lost.

Great companion for resistance band training

The app packs in a ton of useful functionality catered to resistance bands. Huge exercise library with video guides and a really cool engine to generate varied workouts. The Apple Watch integration is slick and lets you log sets without touching the phone.

Tracking strength progression with resistance band training is inherently vague as a small difference in setup can result in a significantly different resistance. There’s no easy way to know exactly what your max is in terms of force, but all the other variables are tracked really well - band selection, reps, stacked bands, accessories used, and free text notes.

Dev is very responsive too. Very happy with the app.

Impressive so far

I got the app because I’m a long time lifter, new to resistance band training as a full-on replacement for barbells. I am shocked at how good this app is for the price. All I did was enter my equipment and rebuild the program I’ve been following by entering my lifting schedule, and then the app is now completely walking me through how to do it all with bands and how to progress.

I feel dumb for not doing this years ago. That’s the only downside. Zero sponsorship or affiliation, I just think the app is that good.

Response from developer

Seriously thank you! 🙏

Excellent, with one reservation

This is much better, and cheaper, than the only real alternative (HarambeFit.) My one reservation is that it has a limited selection of built-in exercises, some of which don’t work well; e.g., hip thrusts. Fortunately you can add your own exercises, as well as excluding those you don’t like, but it’s a lot of data entry. An online library of user-contributed presets, and a way to download and install them, would be an improvement.

Can you email me a list of exercises you’d like added? Is the gap with body weight? 🙏

Bad UI

Good content, but for a paid app the UI is not good. Filtering is bad, customizing is bad, saving exercises sends them nowhere. Big yikes. Needs work.
