Wonderful community ❤️❤️
The community is wonderful and Everything is anonymous that icons to the chats to even the posts. No one can trace you back, except for yourself, and people there are wonderful. Always so supportive.
It’s free and it works
I love this app dearly. I can talk to people about my health and make new friends without worrying abt identities and all that.
I wish the creators weren’t quitting in November tho 😭

At first I bought it to have a place to rant and figure stuff out. But now I also use it for fashion advice. And the people on it are great!
why are posts limited
i love that we are absolutely anonymous but i hate that you only get to post a certain amount before you have to either wait 24 hours to vent again or pay for it. it’d be so much better if we could just get everything off of our chest as much as we want, you already made a lot of things cost money, making that important feature cost money too just feels upsetting and unnecessary

Most disappointed I’ve been in a while
One star for how visually cute the app is, even just seeing the avatar’s faces on the daily affirmation notifications is charming.
One star for the concept of the app, a place where people can go with struggles and get the support of others anonymously. When my friends and family are unavailable to support me, and I cannot afford therapy, a free forum for support sounds like a dream come true!
The app does not fulfill its potential. I was shocked at the fact that I can’t join any of the seemingly hundreds of specialized support groups without paying. The cute avatars get confusing fast because there is such a small selection of them. People in the free forum are mostly just dumping confusing, as well as often deeply disturbing, thoughts and questions, about things like planning their own suicide. Even worse, none of the posts get substantive responses, usually they get no response at all. The one post I’ve made received an irrelevant, bot-like response that was maddening because it sounded like they didn’t even read what I wrote. Looking through the free forum is thus much more depressing than helpful. After that, what’s left? Even the meditation section is almost completely locked to free users, and does not feel professional.
I had been considering trying this app for over a year, and now it will be deleted after just a week :/

Changes?
I can’t see what I am typing to post at all until after I hit post. The new paywall to post is an incredable dissapointment to witness this app develope. Helponymous was a great free space to communicate with others that also felt alone.
But Headhelp has taken away what was good about this app; an all inclusive message board for people suffering alone with feelings of isolation to connect with others going through something similar. Helponymous connected people that had otherwise felt completely estranged. Of course there are others that struggle as we do but if we have no way of expressing ourselves how will we ever know we aren’t alone? Heart-wrenching seeing this app lose its most worth-while asset.

This app is nice
I never thought I would survive the drama of teenage hood but this app helped so much.
Things I don’t like despite liking the app
I downloaded this app in hopes of finding a solution to the roots of my anxiety. Rather if it was getting help to get help in real life or sharing advice but it’s rather hard to do much of anything without paying. I will admit, some free features are very useful but are limited. For example, there’s a bunch of topics you can follow but only ONE you can follow without paying and that’s the BPD topic which I found a bit aggravating. Along with the lack of articles. Don’t get me wrong though, if I had the money I’d definitely pay for the app if I could see it as a useful tool for myself but it’s so limited. Along with that Is when people message you they can virtually talk about anything, I wish there was a way to block of sensitive topics such as in the Discord app or share triggers. That’s just me though. Anyways, that’s my two cents, it truly depends on what YOU need that defines on how you think of this app, highly recommend checking it out for that purpose but the inaccessibility to a lot of features does limit the experience by a lot.

Response from developer
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We will consider your recommendations while we develop features and changes to the next update. Have a great day! :)
Bullying/Harassment
I've been using this app for about a year and a half and it has been helpful until a few months ago and I no longer feel safe or heard. I've only received three harmful comments and one inappropriate message from several users and it stopped for a few months after reporting them. The bullying from this Jinto started a month ago and I reported the comments made to me immediately. I noticed an increase in others having harmful and threatening messages and comments in the past two weeks and have had to constantly block and report this Jinto. This bully, when called out or when a topic about sexual abuse, self-esteem, intimacy, self-identity, race, or LGBTQ is discussed in the app, tends to say cruel things such as victim blaming, projections, sexual harassment, and racist comments. I fell victim to his bullying again just 30 minutes ago after taking a couple of data from the app. How is this person still able to use this app?! Is anyone going to do anything about this?!

lovely
I love it but
This should be free cause most people don’t have anybody to talk to so they get to express their feelings here but the post are limited and can’t explore everything since you have to pay and I feel like this should be a 13+ since kids now days have also been feeling horrible because people lack sense in this world

Good Overall
This is a good app, and has a fantastic concept. The only reason it has 4/5 stars is because lately it’s been very glitchy. Looking forward to future updates. :)
Great app!
I just signed up and I’ve been enjoying it thoroughly all day! It’s so nice to connect with like minded people and feel comfortable being myself, not fake or phony.
So far I would definitely recommend getting the HeadHelp app, it’s already helped me process some of my frustrations (which leads to increased anxiety and agitation) and be able put down into words all the crazy thoughts running through my head in order to help me make sense of all of them.
I love the fact that you get comments from other people almost immediately - I couldn’t believe how many people responded to my first post.
Download this app today, you’ll be so glad you did.

Great
This is great needs more reviews ! Love the anonymous feature . More avatars a would be nice and maybe adult friendly that you can change
Don’t expect any help.
The app is so popular now that posts get buried. It more of a venting app because your chances of getting responses are small. I have no idea why anyone would make this their first pick for an advice/help app when there are more that actually deliver what they say they will. And I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I HATE THE DITTO RESPONSE! It feels like a slap in the face when someone responds with “Ditto” to an incredibly personal problem. The chances that you are going through the same thing I am, that I’ve outlined in great detail, is incredibly small. It feels like when you have a conversation about someone and they try to put themselves in with, “oh well, I had this issue too…” Sometimes I don’t want to feel like other people experience the problem because it no longer feels personal, it no longer feels like I should be bothered because clearly it’s not that big a problem if everyone else is experiencing it at the same time as me.

Really good for advice (in small chunks)
I’ve found the app very useful for advice and reassurance as there are lots of lovely people here who are happy to encourage others and share experiences.
However i would not recommend using it for long chunks at a time because a lot of the things discussed here are upsetting/heavy (depending where you go) which can be overwhelming when consumed one after the other. Therefore I would recommend setting yourself a time limit for using the app (if you often visit these community chats) as to not overwhelm yourself.

I haven’t been able to post in months
This happened before in December where it just kept saying that I have to wait 23 hours before posting but it stayed like that for some time, only then a new update came and it reset it seems and I was able to post again. Now its happened again it’s been like that for many months and since there’s no update it’s just stayed. I don’t want to delete the app because I don’t want to lose all my past posts but I really wish I was able to post again and that it wouldn’t get stuck like this.
