Pretty good overall. But.

The app works well, but there are a few annoyances. When I use the app it insists that I raise the volume on my iPhone so that it can communicate with the hearing aids using the speaker. I get that but there must be a way it can raise the volume programmatically when switching to the program and return the volume to the level it was at before it was raised wha. The program is pushed to the background. Also have an issue switching programs. It switches but when I return to the main screen it shows the previous program still active. It’s not, just an indicator issue.

Poor customer service

The charger they sent has a 1 year warranty but 6 months in it does not work and they will not answer calls would be better to have replaceable batteries. Very disappointed

No Comparison to Amplifiers!

I wore amplifiers for two years before I was offered a reasonable price by hear.com.
When I got them I was amazed at the difference in quality. I truly love the Horizon hearing aids.
They pay for the audiologist visits for the first few months until everything is adjusted just right for me. I can’t imagine going back to the amplification method to hear.

Carbon copy

The app and hearing aids are both the same as my prior Truhearing set, same manufacturer with different names😳

Frustrating!!!

Will not stay connected to Bluetooth and thus cannot control my hearing aids. Need significant improvement given the cost of these hearing aids. Useless if you can’t control them due to poor Bluetooth connectivity.

Needing help

Can’t get through to a real person

Fails with iPhone 16

The Hear app works great on iPhone 13 Pro can’t get same performance on Iphone16. The Bluetooth feature is not compatible for some reason. I can’t stream audio calls to hearing aids. iPhone 16 does not synch up Hear hearing aid.

App needs work

I continually need to reset the App Bluetooth tooth disconnects and will not reconnect autonomously.
If I lower the volume they disconnect from the app.
There is no simple transition between devices (I have multiple cellular phones and other devices I pair with) and that transition needs to occur easily
If I need to pair with a device all previous settings are reset to default
Volume controls are not saved etc

This app needs a lot of work

New client

I am a brand new client and I am learning more and more.

iPhone app

The app adjusts volume every 30 minutes or faster. Once it is setup, watch tv, go bad to app and volume will self adjust to a different setting every time. According to app it is up to date on current software. I’m done with it.

Agree with previous review

Totally agree with the review “Needs a User selectable default” on Sept 9 by Ed_G2. This is a SUPER annoying feature and unnecessary. Settings should be able to be zeroed in to user and remain there. Also agree for the $$ paid, the app should be exponentially more user friendly.

Terrible app

It changes settings and screens frequently. Completely confusing to use it for remote sessions . Now, after the remote
Session, I lost all settings like speech focus, direction setting, special settings etc.

Bad app

It’s as bad as the hearing aids. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to connect the app to my phone, it never does it automatically, only first time in the morning when the charge 100 %,the rest of the time it is a problem. I can’t see the day I get rid of both the Horizon IX and this cheap app. Thank you for making something really bad!!!

Why

Must I turn my iPad to accommodate the orientation of this app? Why won’t it change from vertical to horizontal as necessary?

TV mode

What happened to the TV mode? For reverse slope wearers that feature is indispensable

Not great

I don’t want to list one to my phone (Facebook) with my hearing aids.
I don’t want to hear my self breath!

No better than what I have

The panoramic setting did not decrease the noise of the traffic outside my apartment when I try to sit on my balcony.
I have tried watching TV, but it doesn’t seem to do anything no matter what mode I put it in It

Used to be a App

I’ve only had my HEAR.COM hearing aids for a matter of a couple of months. I really did like this app to begin with as I needed it for streaming, particularly for my television and on my iPhone. But now this app is just garbage I can spend an trying to make connection trying all the things they suggest and I can’t get it to pair or once in a while while I can’t get it to make a connection very very disturbing. Don’t know what happened to it, but it’s not for quite some time all the things you say it has capability of doing, and yet it can’t do what it needs to do the most help me with my hearing needs to make life more enjoyable. This app is just bad news. Else I’d drop this app in a heartbeat and I’d tell everybody about it will still tell people about this app if I get the opportunity I don’t have. I did it one time couple of months ago, not anymore.

Needs a User selectable Default setting

The only real issue I have with the App (iOS version) is that after a power cycle the App returns to a Volume setting of “8” and a balance of “0”. This means that I have to set my preferences each time I take the hearing aids out of the charge case and put them on. I expect more from an App that supports a $5k pair of hearing aids.
