Zero customer service

I was one of the first to buy a Heatmiser product but they show customers no support or help. App and product is neglected and doesn’t work. Can’t connect via WiFi customer support won’t help, just tell me to spend another £200 with them. No way. Moving to Nest.

Couldn’t be without it

Great App that works well. Hope you continue to support it as it’s invaluable to my large heating system. Would be even better if there was a hot water timed boost rather than just on/off.

Well, since writing this review it seems the inevitable has happened and it no longer works properly with IOS 18. I think large DCB’s are being truncated so changing the schedule for example just gets ignored by the thermostat. Simple commands still seem to work.

Abandoned for years

The way this company abandoned this app years ago means i will never buy another heatmiser system ever again. For years the app was buggy but only just worked, now it doesn’t work at all.

Cynical abandonment of App support

This App got progressively more unstable as Heatmiser failed to support it. An unstable App means you can’t run the old Heatmiser thermostats / water hearing properly, so you need to replace the whole boiler control system. A new boiler often has a 10 year guarantee, the necessary control software support from Heatmiser seems not.
Apple have just gone through and routinely updated the certificates on a whole load of old Apps, including this one, and **ta-da**, it’s stable again. As I suspected, it required so little effort to keep it working - just an updated cert, yet the company preferred the App were crippled in order to make perfectly good, working, expensive hardware redundant, forcing existing customers into buying new products. That’s morally and ecologically wrong. Don’t listen to this lot’s claim of eco friendliness due to being able to control your heating, they cynically exploit their customers. Avoid them, they will do it with their new system too.

Works on old 6s on old iOS

Updated phone and installed same software as old one - copied same... works... nope - old WiFi stat useless for phone control now:(

Screen hard to read at times, no upgrade to HomeKit

The problem with Heatmiser is the total disrespect of the company to the older product, once Neo was created they stopped working on this product and forgot about the clients who lead the way in smart home technology, who now have a system which needs to be replaced to keep up with the newer Neo system. Perhaps if the would wake up it is far better to deliver systems which work together, otherwise when we need to upgrade we might just consider a competitor system!

Update it

This app no longer works with my new iPhone 11

Not working on IPad Pro

This App works fine on my iPhone and IPad Air2, but won’t connect on my new IPad Pro running game OS12.

The App comes on as usual but does nothing when you select ‘connect’.

Struggling to connect to thermostats with iOS 12

Since upgrading my iPad to iOS 12 and purchasing a new iPhone, the app is having difficulty connecting to my thermostats. Please take a look at this issue. Thank you

😫

Progressively worse

No longer works with multiple location

I have two locations. It used to work fine but now when I open the app I get a choice of one of the locations, “Demo mode” or “Please choose...”. Which location I get seems to be random. Sometimes closing the app and reopening will bring up the other location, sometimes not. The problems occurs most frequently on iPad but also sometimes on iPhone. A shame, this used to work well.

iOS 11

Now working on iOS 11. It’s great again. Thanks Heatmiser.

Thanks for the iOS 11 update

We use the app regularly and I feared the problems we had after an iOS 11 upgrade would be the end for us. Not so - the speedy fix is much appreciated. Thanks.
Oh and yes it’s a great app that we have been using for years to control heating and hot water - ideal for our household circumstances, our needs are rarely the same week to week and so are hard to leave to an automated timer. We can be comfortable and efficient.

iOS 11 update perfect

Thank you so much for the overnight fix. App works perfectly now. Very impressed that you worked on it so fast and had it sorted within 24 hours.
App is well worth the five stars.

Please FIX!!!!!! Refuses to let me login via iPhone

Used to work perfectly... PLEASE FIX... will not work anymore with iPhone but connects via iPad.. completely dependent on this to remote login to fix all underfloor heating temp..!!!!!!!!!!!

Struggles with iPhone 7

This app used to be great, and with my wife's iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 it still is, but with my new iPhone 7 it's very buggy. It usually says it's failed to connect despite being connected, and I have to accept the erroneous error message before being able to use it as normal. Often it crashes. Come on Heatmiser, update your app!

Needs fixing

Hard to set up initially (2 years ago) but then good. Now much less reliable. Will not connect when away from home, often not when at home either. Needs updating. More granular time options needed too - timer only has hour and half past options.

Recent problems

I have used this for A couple of years without any problems. However, since the last update the app no longer works on my iPhone although it does on my iPad.

I am also having the same problems mention by a previous reviewer about a time lag. I frequently get a message which tells me I cannot login and then it succeeds when I re-try.

I think there are some bags in the latest upgrade.

Successful connection, but warns unable to connect.

Many thanks for quickly fixing the crashing problem of the Sep 22 update. All works now except frequently on startup I get an "unable to connect" warning even though it clearly did connect as all the stats show data and everything works after dismissing the warning. It's as if a timeout somewhere is slightly too short. This is on an iPad 2 iOS 9.
