HS1 now playing queue is still 300
HS1 speakers still have 300 songs limit while HS2 has 1000.
Terribly unintuitive
Getting rooms to group is impossible even with two denon products. I tried multiple time to submit a bug report in the app and it crashed each time. All devices are up to date. It won’t let me play my record player on two devices.
Love the integration with devices but the UI need work
Not super intuitive and it wants to replace UI from sources like TIDAL but the TIDAL UI and extras are far superior. For example, In HEOS, I cannot find my Tidal Daily Discovery which is a wonderful feature to learn about music which might appeal to me.

This just works for me
I have been using HEOS for over 3 years and I don’t have any of the problems that all of the one star reviewers seem to be having. The app works just fine on my iPhone (13 and now 17). I use it to connect to my Marantz Model 4On and Denon 150. I can group and ungroup these when I want. The HEOS app integrates nicely with my Qobuz account and app - I use Qobuz Connect to select music and play it via the HEOS speakers. I can then control volume and see what’s playing via the HEOS app on other devices. The radio integration with Tune In is a little clunky - if refuses to play some non-standard URL based radio stations from the HEOS app so I have to go to the TuneIn app for these. I wish there was a way to create a short cut to listen to songs on my NAS by Album Artist instead of going through all the menus. And there are a few other improvements I would like to see - releases and updates are very slow. But overall I think I prefer the GUI over the WiiM one which everyone seems to rave about.

HEOS it’s old and tired
This app is old and tired. It is sloppily written and very buggy. They obviously wrote it to compete with Sonos and did the minimum to say they have an app. It looks like they outsourced it and never invested another penny to keep it relevant. Most of these hardware makers are terrible at app development. Writing good software now, especially with AI, is so simple. They need to hire on young developer with expertise in AI, and do it right. I could have it done in 30 days.

Semi-Functional, Limited Support
Just got this app installed and am running two zones. The guy who set it all up put our living room and patio zones in one group. The tutorials state that I can have ungrouped zones to play different music in different zones. The video shows how to group and ungroup zones by pinching and pulling together or separating. This does not work on my iPhone 16.
This is very frustrating, there is a tips section but no FAQs, and limited support options.

Volume reaches to max every time I use this App and annoying
Disappointing Tech Needs Help
Very very buggy software that has constant difficulty connecting to speakers, adjusting volume, and interfacing with music providers, especially SoundCloud. We love our new Denon speakers but they’ve got to get a better development team on improving this app. Hopefully we can write a better review later . . .

Stereo pair with Mesh Wifi doesn’t work
I bought two speakers specifically for one room. The wifi network has a wifi extender. The speakers refuse to stay connected to the same Wifi router. The room grouping doesn’t work unless they’re connected to the same physical router. Only one speaker will play. If i do connect both to the same device, it will drop and reconnect and destroy the group.

Two systems very slow response on my iPhone
I try so hard to work with the system and I have so many struggles with my iPhone and getting it to act going round and round through different screens just to turn on some music and play it. Why can’t this be fixed?

Terrible. After registering account it wasn’t accepted at login prompt. Wasted an hour trying to correct. Then doesn’t accept my Sirius login.

This app is a pain to navigate, works when you finally can find what you need to do. Should be easier to use.
