Here review
I rate the “Here” app a 4. Although the app has some problematic aspects, I believe the creators and the app's message are well-intentioned and can benefit those who use it appropriately. “Here” has an easy-to-use interface and uses subtle, calming sunset colors. There are no loud sounds or gimmicks. This type of visual design in mental health apps can increase teens' well-being and engagement (Garrido et al., 2024). This is especially helpful for an app based on talking about challenges, as it can be soothing for the user. “Here”s main purpose is to provide emotional and peer support and offers users the ability to make anonymous connections online without the risk of cybervictimization, which poses a significant danger to mental health (Domoff et al., 2025).
“Here” lets teens process challenges they are experiencing or simply talk with another teen to feel less lonely. Users can benefit from having accessible opportunities to discuss their feelings and problems, and research by Garcia et al. (2017) suggests greater comfort with emotional disclosure is associated with better emotional regulation and fewer negative mental health outcomes. “Here” offers a private, low-pressure space that makes it easier for teens to start disclosing things they aren't yet comfortable sharing with someone else. However, this app is not for users who are looking for professional therapeutic advice. Even though the app states that its goal is to provide emotional and peer support, many of the users still seek mental health advice. Although the teen advisors are trained by mental health professionals, young people are not always equipped to give effective mental health help, and they might not know how to respond appropriately to another teen's situation (Subasinghe et al., 2023). Despite these issues, the app offers users a safe space to voice concerns without fear of judgment, and if that can make a teen feel less lonely in a world full of cliques, cyberbullying, and AI chatbots, then “Here” deserves a 4 out of 5.

Suspended
I love this so much app and has been a great outlet and a place to get advice. I was playing around and accidentally changed my age and now it says that I’m suspended and to contact an administrator. I see that this happened to someone else and I don’t know what to do.
A great resource
This app is a super helpful resource for anyone and everyone. It’s great to be able to talk and know someone is there who listens and cares. It’s anonymous which is really nice. The advisors have resources they can direct you to if you need them, and are there to help
Amazing!!
I wish I found this app sooner. The advisors are so nice and really care about what you have to say.
Timed out?
I loved this app! I was having such a good conversation that was really needed and when I go to check the app, it crashes basically. It tells me the “section timed out” but I didn’t think much of it. (Mind you, I have good working internet.) so I go to log in again and when I enter the 4-digit code and press the button to continue, it loads and doesn’t work. So I close out of it and open it and even delete it with time in between and nothing was working, can someone fix something!
