The Heroic App - It’s a Life Changer
In general I am not a big “fan” of apps… preferring to use my mobile device as a telephone and a laptop for nearly everything else. However not only am I a fan of the Heroic app but a “raving” fan. Why do I say that? Because, slowly but surely, by using it on a daily basis, I’ve noticed positive changes in my mind, body & spirit. For me the Heroic app has is not just a game changer it’s a Life Changer! Get it and use it - you will not regret it .

1year in and I’m saying Heroic has been the birthday gift to myself that keeps on giving in all the best possible ways: sharper, focused thinking, anti-fragile mindset, and courage to love, act, and re-new! Awesome!

I discovered this app just under three year ago - it has had a profound impact on my energy levels. And I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin. this has been my favourite app this year and i’ve tried a lot of apps to help me with my food addiction, perfectionism and low self esteem. The AI is my go to everyday. The stuff on perfectionism, self compassion and vulnerability have been a game changer for me. +1+1+1
only downside is im in my mid 20s and the social part is more people in their 40s and up; i wish more ppl my age were on this app but im grateful for anybody sharing their story regardless of age! its also kinda cool to think i may be ahead of people my age when it comes to self development (yes this is probably a bit insecure tbh lol)

The Cult of Brian
There are some useful aspects of this app - I think the daily target setting and tracking is useful and energizing.
The content is meh - okay. I have followed Brian for a long time - and it has been interesting to see the evolution of his ideas from Optimize to Heroic to the Philosophers Notes. I found the Basic Training curriculum to be useful and sparked some new good ideas.
My primary critique here is that the content has self-centered undertones of being the cult of Brian… nearly every video, every philosopher’s note, even meditations, are self-referential to Brian… when they would be much more inspirational and powerful without the self-centeredness. I doubt Brian will ever change this… but letting everyone know I find it to be over the top.
The cult of Brian, combined with the complication of ancient wisdom now described with silly formulas and jargon (which Brian is happy to say are tattooed over his body) muddles - rather than activates - these timeless human principles.
But for a monthly (or discounted annual fee or a crowdfund investment!) Brian can show you the way.

I feel like I’ve got a number of things pretty dialed in but this app and Brian Johnson’s philosophy has just about ALL OF IT dialed!! There’s times where I’ll be thinking of a concept and then it will come up in the app in such a perfectly and well thought out way.
