Looking for a new bank
Although there have been improvements since changing from RCB to HCB, I’m still not a fan. Specifically regarding the app, mobile deposit doesn’t always work, even after updating the uploaded image to inside the mandatory text. Even worse, the alert system I’ve set up to tell me when my account is below a certain amount has never worked as intended. I got the notification after logging in the app manually when it should’ve notified me nearly 2 weeks ago.

Changing all the time
I never know when it is going to work or not. Now the app doesn’t recognize my face, so I have to type in my password every time. When I do have trouble and ask for help it takes forever to get resolved.
Great bank with a great platform for mobile banking.
App works as advertised.
Unacceptable security risk
Recent app update takes 1 to 2 days to text me about transactions. Older version took seconds. If it’s not fixed by the end of November, I’m going to close my account and switch banks. Have called Hillcrest twice and got the runaround. Friends who use Hillcrest are also going to close their accounts. Hillcrest bank simply does not care anymore.

Very Simplistic
I'm tech savvy but a literal child could use this app problem free, very simple very concise, overall great app.
Convenient
This new app has made banking so much easier. The app’s layout is also so easy to understand and navigate
Mobile deposit
It usually takes me multiple tries to successfully get the mobile banking app to work. The first two times was server error. This is very frustrating.
Notifications
The new system doesn’t allow the same notifications as the last one.
I can’t get an update on my checking balance each day like before, instead I have to make a notification about a deposit or transaction over a certain amount and even then the notification doesn’t tell me the balance. It’s really inconvenient.

Old App was better
Dropped accounts, the transaction view screen is awful. The whole app is less user friendly than the old app and does less. I would not call it an improvement in any category
Show account balance
It would be nice if it would show each account’s balance when making a transfer like the old app use to do.
App and website performance are much improved
With the new technology.

Mobile app bill pay
This app is fine. It works well. However, I do like the bill pay feature in the app that they had before this one.
Alerts
The app alerts are to late only once a day
Mobile deposit is not faster
While it is slightly easier to do a mobile deposit, the funds still become available at the same speed so expect to have your funds to be available two business days after you do a mobile deposit. So if you need your money same day or the next day, don’t do mobile deposit.
Clean simple app with great features
Love the new app. It has more features and is easy to use.
Time-wasting pain
Spent close to an hour of my time listening to pre-recorded menus, opting out of marketing and dealing with two levels of tech support to get their glitch corrected. I do not recommend this bank.
