Doesn’t work after update
Forced app update today and then I couldn’t see any of my future reservations so I logged out and now I can’t log in.

Ive disabled all of the promotional push notifications yet i still get spam push notifications from this app that i cannot turn off!
App crashes often
Used the app for over two years without an issue but in the last eight months it has continuously crashed. Very inconvenient when traveling and need it for directions to hotel or opening door to room or outside entrance after hours and you cannot count on app to work to use it.
Apple Watch support
I really wish I could use my digital key with my Apple Watch. If I go out for a run or walk I typically only have my Apple Watch. It would be nice to do this when I am at the hotel as well. Also if I forget my room key in the room along with my phone it would be nice so I wouldn’t be completely locked out.

App disfunctional
I generally have liked the app and the Hilton chain for my travels. However, lately all I get from the app is the message “That was unexpected. Sorry for the interruption. Let’s try that again.” I’m getting this message while on Hilton’s upgraded WiFi. This makes the app useless to me during my stay.

Bug Insertions and Performance degradation
I guess $70 million in dividend payments is more important than the App actually working. As of the latest iteration of the App Store dumpster fire edition. App has now been enhanced with the “That was unexpected” message on every function now. Good show guys! Stays section continues to be consistently absent of both function “and” reservations. Activity section in profile - inop. Reservations - Inop. All functions - Inop. An absolute comedy of errors. Who exactly is at this rudderless helm?

Persistent marketing notifications
It’s a perfectly fine app for booking and/or managing hotel reservations. My problem is that I keep getting push notifications for offers despite having offer notifications turned off. It’s a shame they take advantage of you allowing notifications for helpful room information and then blasting you with worthless marketing messages.

“That was unexpected”
Whenever doing a search, every screen (if it even loads) continually gives a “That was unexpected” error. If you’re lucky enough to get a screen to load up it’s not listing the room rate or other data. Very frustrating. This isn’t a new issue, it’s been going on for over a year.
Update 7/13/2026: still having the same error two years now. Bug has not been fixed. Expect better from Hilton.

Ads cannot be disabled
Yet another app that doesn't respect notification settings. I regularly get push notifications for ads about credit cards and trials for things like Apple TV, etc. Yet I've only enabled notifications about stays.

Abuse of Notifications
Hilton has started to abuse push notifications to send ads. This is against Apple’s developer terms and needs to be corrected ASAP. Hilton has a section to customize the push notifications and I only have “Stay Alerts” and “Stay Reminders “ enabled. I hope this is a bug and not delebrate.

Hilton Honours is a wonderful place to stay, and there are great reasons why!
If you lose even one thing, they try their hardest to find it for you and ask you for any details about it and it’s just amazing how much effort they put in!!
The reception people are so nice and friendly and they greet everyone nicely! They are the nicest people, so are the other staff as well! There was this lady who really stood out to me she was wonderful, I don’t know what her name is but she was just lovely!!
They clean your room every day or two! If they clean the room till it’s spotless it’s wonderful and they even put little chocolates next to your bed!!
The restaurant food is delectable! I ordered some throughout my stay and it was great! It was one of the best burgers and cake I’ve ever had!!
In the pool that they have, they have a sauna and they have a spa and they have an outside pool with slides and a bigger pool for swimming, but the only problem with them was that they were really cold but that’s not really much of a problem! And they were really comfortable chairs to sit on outside of the pool!
The beds are super duper comfortable! They are so comfortable that I couldn’t get up till 9 am in the morning! Definitely one of the most comfortable beds ever!
It’s near the streets and it has many fun experiences that you can do!
I do recommend Hilton as your next hotel if you’re ever coming to Queensland! I would love to come here again! Thank you for this wonderful trip!

AMAZING
The workers are and cleaners are so kind the beds are so comfortable They always make sure your shower gel conditioner and shampoo is full and it comes with chocolates and water and milk and it has all the stuff like hairdryer,kettle and coffee machine. Hilton Hotel is just amazing if you have a problem the workers will try their best to resolve it. It’s amazing and that’s all my words this is worth the cost and the app is really clear with instructions!

App doesn’t work
For the past few months the app keeps crashing. Does not let me book rooms, view booking or even navigate the site. Really frustrating.
Failure
The app consistently has errors and most of the time does not work to check in or use for door access
Worst app
The app has stopped working on my iPhone 16. Previously worked fine. Now I get “That was unexpected.” errors constantly. Infuriating.
Good luck creating an account
Literally can’t sign in or reset my password on my new account. Tried on my computer too and same issue. Error messages are not helpful at all.
App does not respect push notifications settings
I would like app notifications about my stay so I did not block notifications on the ios level but I disabled all notifications in the app settings, and yet I still get ads.
App improved, Please Add Wallet Support of Digital Key
This is my updated review. Current version of Hilton Honors app (new edition) is a significant improvement. Calendar support for reservations is now enabled and works flawlessly (just as in the old edition). Thank you. Link to download Wallet cards for the reservations is still missing. Please add Wallet Support for the reservations. As a very convenient improvement, Embed the Digital Keys to Wallet Cards. Then I will update my review with 5-star.
