New refreshed app launched and it doesn’t work and load any information…
Excellent Update
This 2025 app update is excellent. It’s great to be able to browse houses near me and manage my card digitally.

Love the new updates, being able to search for houses without even being a member is a useful update!

Why, after all these complaints, has this app not been revised to include the house information it used to and the ability to update the members card. Absolute waste of time!
Way behind other memberships
No access to information. Just an online copy of the membership card. Very disappointing when compared to other membership apps

What’s the point of this card. I was looking to change my membership number and review houses to visit and there was only a blank. Rubbish and serves no purpose. Z absolutely love HH so please review this app.

Thought this was going to be like the national trust app, showing properties near you and information like opening times etc.
All it does is shows a digital membership card, which doesn’t work at half the properties due to no WiFi/phone signal.

Great organisation- Awful app
Really dreadful app that doesn’t seem to be updated at all. Mine is stuck with my membership number for year ending 2024 and we are now in year ending 2026. Have HH given up on this app??
Waste of time
This app is probably the most pointless app available. It inky shows your details as per membership card.
You cannot explore or check details for any properties.
Certainly would not recommend.

Needs Improvement
This used to be a great app that you could view houses on. This was then changed to view your membership pass only on. That was ok until you come to renewal and there is no option to amend or update your membership card details. … why doesn’t this update automatically if it’s connected to your account? Deleting the app and trying to reset it doesn’t work either as the app thinks the membership card is still logged to another device… no it’s the same one. Email sent to the membership team to try sort, but it shouldn’t be so hard. … an update to the app to improve things would be far better along with adding the ability to add to card wallet for use on Apple Watch would be even better.

Useless app from start! Can’t even change forgotten password. Then most houses are shut and not free to Historic Houses. Needs a massive overhall!
Ridiculous waste of time
The app is tied to one phone. I have joint membership and my husband’s app says my name because he typed my number in. So I said “don’t worry just log out and I’ll fix it. Oh no. Apparently not.
I’m sorry, an app only showing ONE digital membership card that may or may not be accepted by a house and NO OTHER FEATURES is worth extra effort to then untangle a mess that only a desperate or inexperienced developer would make by listening to a very inexperienced customer.

I agree totally with my fellow members, one star is too many. Why oh why can’t they leave things alone. I have a membership card which works fine I want to know where the houses are.

I too cannot sign into this app. It is useless
Bit pointless and flaky
All it does is lets you display your membership card as a QR code and for the effort involved of having to enter your email and password every time, after which it sometimes opens but often doesn’t, you’re better off just keeping a photo of the card on your phone or using a card image app.

All it’s for is to show membership. Why doesn’t it show all the houses????
Doesn’t update
I concur with other reviewers that’s apps truly useless. I have a joint membership with my mum, and her details are not shown. As a joint membership, surely all accounts linked should be available. In addition despite having just paid the increased annual fee for 2025, the app still shows my card expires Dec 2023. So even just for me - this is pretty useless.

Genuinely one of the worst apps ever
This is a truly bizarre app. All it does is show your membership card but it says you need to carry your card anyway as venues reserve the right to refuse the app and insist on seeing the card. Also if you ever replace your phone, even once, you have to ‘apply’ for permission to reinstall the app. The wording is unnecessarily threatening, almost accusing people of fraudulent activity because they got a new phone and might want to move their app onto it. It’s so out of touch it’s ludicrous.
