What's New in MiPermit

4.14.3

May 13, 2026

- fixed minor issue in Pay to Park flow.

User reviews

Horrible User experience

Truly horrible and unusable. It’s made parking in Waltham Forest a nightmare for the residents.

Can’t find any parking

Trash can app that has cost me 100£ because i was unable to find the right parking zone. Anything you put in finds no results. TRASH CAN APP.

Push notifications

I’ve given the MiPermit app a single star because it fundamentally fails at a critical point. The app refuses to provide free push notifications when your parking is about to expire. Instead, it tries to squeeze a few extra pennies out of you by making you pay for SMS alerts. This is frankly unacceptable in 2026 when free push notifications are standard everywhere else.

Mind its errors

The app frequently confuses nearby car parks when displaying options, which can be a costly mistake. This is especially problematic when car parks are only a few hundred yards apart.

They charge a convenience fee for using the app, but don’t seem to invest enough in making the experience more reliable. At the very least, the app should clearly warn users when there are multiple nearby car parks and ask them to confirm the location before payment goes through.

Overall, this is an app I’d only use when I have no coins or need to extend my parking remotely.
