Not working with IOS 18
Please update the software. Doesn’t work with IOS 18 on iPhone.
Ridiculous
I would give negative stars if I could. Very expensive wifi lights that WILL NOT connect. I tried every configuration known to man. Will not connect. The developer response is the same nonsense to everyone. We know…it needs 2.4ghz. Guess what…the developers response is as lousy as these lights. You can stop trying to connect your lights if you are reading this. It is not going to happen.

RETURN YOUR LIGHTS
The app doesn’t actually work. During the connection process, at 82%, it will turn over as if it is connecting to the device but in actuality, there is never going to be a connection. Complete and total scam.
Does not connect to lights.
We bought our lights last year and they worked great! So much fun changing the lights and colors with the app. But this year we just have tried 100 times to connect the app to the lights and it will NOT connect at all no matter how far/close to the Wi-Fi router. Developer please help!
Can’t add lights to Wi-Fi- useless
Like the other reviews, you can’t add the lights to your Wi-Fi no matter what you do. Return now if you can…

This is the most frustrating app that I have ever used. Trying to use it with the “Hapeville Tree Wifi” purchased from Home Depot. #1 there are at least two apps from the developer that kind of work with the tree, it’s impossible to tell which one is correct or if it even matters. This app has been updated more recently and has a slightly better GUI. #2 the tree controller needs a firmware update to use the any functions beyond basic on/off. After at least 30 tries it appears the firmware cannot be updated. The update starts, the wifi light flashes a very faint blue light. The on screen instructions say to press next when the wifi indicator stops flashing. Well it never stops. I’ve let it go for hours at a time and it never stops. Only way to break out of the update cycle is to unplug and setup the tree again in the app. #3 The controller appears to have no onboard memory. Every time the controller is unplugged you have redo the setup process in the app. #4 There doesn’t appear to be a way to contact the developer for support. The link on this page takes you to the website but there isn’t an option to contact support. Just a terrible FAQ page.

Disappointed
Paid $100 for these lights and they are nice. Been 2 days trying to connect the lights to my app and doesn’t work. Tutorial videos do not match what the app looks like so those are useless. The controller doesn’t flash like the video suggests so you don’t know if it’s in pairing mode or not. Tried connecting by using both methods and it won’t connect. Wont add the lights to the device list. So far disappointed with this. Fix the connectivity issues and I’ll rewrite my review.

Won’t connect
I’ve tried everything to get these lights to connect to WiFi and no luck. The closest I’ve gotten is using compatibility mode where it gets through all of the steps (the first led light on the power box even turns green!) but says it can’t find the device.
App is garbage, lights look great
Timer is stuck on, toggle switches can not be changed. This happened after the update. Now the 2 hrs timer is on always and also 5:30-5:30 and 16:30-16:30. Basically it’s scheduled to be on all the time and only for two hours at a time. Never seen such a problematic app like this before.
Horrible App
This app is already pretty horrible to begin with, especially given the price of the lights. But now with your newest update to fix issues, you broke groups. Fix this ASAP please.
Can’t access groups
It was working fine last week but this week I can’t access the groups. Removed app and reinstalled, but still not working properly. Please fix.
Cool functionality but kind of glitchy

1) each time the firmware is updated the app won’t recognize the lights anymore. I’ve been going to the “blue” setup each time and I’m back up after re-pairing the lights/app.
2) the first version I had allowed a timer to be set. On this current version the only toggle that works is the timer on-off, and the slots for timer, or “1-hour timer” don’t work.
Kind of wild what makes it into Home Depot these days... you run a pretty good chance of getting someone’s mass produced science fair project.

Update broke group setting
Latest update broke group setting where lights can no longer be grouped. Cannot click on group or edit. Personal colors do not remain between settings.
Groups no longer work
After the most recent update I can no longer access my group of lights. It will not let me edit the group or enter it. Tapping either button does nothing and it just sits there.
Custom Designed Show?
Your website shows that you can “draw” your own show. However, I don’t see this in the app anywhere. Where do I do this?
App does not work
After about 4 hours of trying to pair the lights with the app nothing worked I tried everything and even watched the video tutorials on how it works and still nothing it failed to connect every single time although the lights do work without the app I could of spend less in some lights that are not app controlled this is just a waste of money and time, I do not recommend.

Server is busy, try again later
Worked for about a week. Not it keeps saying service is busy. I have restarted my router but it’s not my wife. Everything else works. I turned off everything on the wifi to see if it will help. It must be the app. I hoping this bad review will elicit a response from the programmers.

Garbage App
Lights worked with no issue last year. This year, it shows offline and no way to remove the lights from account to start the process from scratch. Tried to add as a new device and it will NOT connect. Reset everything and tried compatibility mode and still no connection. Stuck with this piece of $100 garbage and no customer service for actual help. ***If you bought it for the ease of having an app to control it...RETURN IT NOW!!
